"The room no 2, twin very clean, spacious. The bathroom again clean, all one would need. My only minor gripe would be in the shower there is no tray for one's shower gels etc. The staff were young nothing wrong with that, they have to start somewhere and they're local were friendly and pleasant. I've lived and worked in hospitality in the area in the past, the location is excellent on the main route out of Castleton towards Sheffield, about 3 miles away without paying Castleton prices, very good value for money. It's a dog friendly venue. The public areas are also clean, spacious modern. Large car park and grounds. To add to this a mention about a member of staff Samuel, seems to be there morning noon and night. Sound bloke, plus he helped me out with checking out turned out my pin number was locked Will certainly return."

The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food and beer are decent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great for a variety of outdoor activities in the Peaks. I would give the rooms, service, and location all a rating of 5 out of 5.

The meal was excellent and we received a warm welcome. The pie was outstanding and they had a great selection of beers. The staff was happy and attentive. The food and drinks were amazing in quality. The service was top-notch and the location was perfect. Overall, the hotel offered great value.
