Disappointing veggie options and rather delayed service. Lack of atmosphere/ friendliness and so on. Good parking though!

I cannot praise this pub enough. The staff are all lovli, smiley and welcoming. Had me old favoirite briskett and mash. If u want good home cooked meals this is the place for you

I used to frequent The Travelling Man regularly, but as it became more crowded, the quality of the food declined. It is a shame because we used to enjoy going there on both weekdays and weekends, and it was perfect for a family Sunday lunch. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Ver carta

We ordered two beef Sunday lunches at 11am for a 2pm pick-up. We have ordered from this restaurant before and were very pleased, despite a short wait, with the piping hot meals we took home. The restaurant was bustling with diners as usual, and I noticed they offer daily specials Monday to Friday for £6.99. Both of our takeaway meals had ample beef, plenty of vegetables, roast potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding. The quality of the food was excellent.

Home cooked fries chips were the highlight of the hunters chicken for my husband. I ordered mince and dumplings off the specials menu and it was enormous considering it was a lunch menu. Both high quality sand steaming hot! The portion size was huge as well worth the money for that and taste. Met 2 of the girls and both were welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend and will 100% be returning. So excited to eat I didn't take a before so attempted to include the specials menu.

We’ve been to The Travelling Man a few times over the years and have normally had a good experience. We arrived to be told there’d be a delay as they had a booking of 30 due so the main dining room would be full. We were told a 20min wait but it was only 5 or 10 mins before we were seated in the small room. Maybes due to the arrival of the group but we were served our main meals, piping hot within minutes. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the staff were great. The meals (roast of the day) was lovely, enough to make you full. We would prefer to have had a gravy boat as opposed to the meals being served with gravy all ready on and would be nice to have had beer mats too. Ver carta
