"We went here late Friday afternoon for their 1/2 price Fish Chips. We were so impressed. Firstly, I’m a vegetarian, so eat dairy and I really wanted veggie fish and chips as the husband was having F C. They have halloumi on the menu here, so I barefaced asked if they’d do some halloumi in batter so that I could have similar to the Mr. They agreed and when it came out it looked amazing and tasted really delicious, very naughty, but hey, it was Friday and looked like Fish and Chips and bonus, 1/2 price! This traditional pub just outside Bicester is absolutely wonderful, so friendly and cosy, especially with the wood burner lit which oozes the ambiance needed on a crisp Autumnal afternoon/evening. We were looked after impeccably by the staff, especially our lovely waiting person, she couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was worthwhile. I’d come here every Friday if my waist line could take it!"

Didn't eat there but looked busy but staff said it was a quiet Tuesday night. Car park full. Drinks good staff pleasant. Will give more informed review when I return.

high quality food. very large portion size. beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. bonus was dog friendly was sitting in the cozy bar area. really beautiful place and highly recommended

really beautiful land pub with an excellent interior and beautiful quirky garden .food and service was very good too! pity there was no greater choice to choose real ales, but that a side definitiw a pub I would happily visit again .shame it is so far from home!

Was just brilliant! From the service to the food! 10/10 from us! Menu has a great selection of meals and a lovely variety. Portions are generous and equal the value of the meals. Staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is to much to ask for. Cant wait to be back

I had the hangover cure for lunch, which was sirloin beef with the nicest mustard I 've tasted! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed my experience, I will be back! A stunning gastro pub situated on the outskirts of Bicester providing excellent food and professional service. Due to having a large garden at the rear, there are many tables for customers to enjoy food and drink in the summer time; while both indoor fireplaces appear to provide a more rustic, warmer feel in the winter time. More on our visit, we were kindly seated by the bar staff in the conservatory, despite us not having a booking and the pub clearly being busy. I ordered the Duck breast while both my parents had the Fish and Chips; the Duck was perfectly cooked and the very large portion of fish did not disappoint.
