Brilliant pub. New manager, Gary, is excellent. Wonderful food and lovely atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is made welcome.

The food was really good and plentiful. The service was quick and friendly. The beer was delicious. A new varied menu is on offer and the range of beers is very good and frquently changing. Hats off to Gary, the new manager.

I knew the kitchen was opening yesterday 21/09/23 , so had call in and try .. It was a lovely ham baguette homemade coleslaw , varied and plentyfull salad , home-made chips, can't wait to return and try homemade lasagna and a Sunday lunch

Called in for a meal on the spur of the moment and was impressed by the quality of food for the price. Lovely fish and chips, well presented with a good homemade batter and good quality cod. My partner had the lasagne, garlic bread and side salad which he really enjoyed. Will definitely eat here again, good pub food at a good and the real ales are well kept with a good choice. Ver carta

After what feels like years the pub is finally being run properly after the previous landlords had run the place into the ground. How they ever got the job is a miracle, my sympathies go out to the drinkers in whatever venue they end up at next! The new landlord Gary is putting some serious effort into tidying the place up and getting the kitchen back up and running. It’s fantastic to see it busy with all the old faces returning, including old staff members.

We have visited The Tupton Tap today for drinks and a meal, what can I say, amazing home cooked food which was delicious, the portions are very generous and piping hot, the Fish Chips and Steak Pie were to die for as was the Jacket Potato too, the deserts also very generous and served to perfection, very friendly atmosphere and staff, would 100% recommend trying and will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you Tupton Tap it’s about time we had a place to eat in our village with good old fashioned home cooked food that hasn’t been warmed up in a microwave, well done , xx

Worst dining experience we’ve ever had!! 1 and half hour wait for food, fish came out and was obviously straight out of a microwave.. inedible. Pie came out with a fiver ! as the portion was so small what was served was tasteless. Asked to speak to the manager who refused to come down stairs and speak instead sent a bar maid with another fiver . Set upon by one of the locals when we complained was final straw. Family meal with in laws and our son nearly ended up in a bar brawl. So many other lovely restaurants/pub food around the location, zero need to subject yourself to this hole. Would have given no stars if an option. Ver carta
