"Went to the Victoria for a family meal. The food and service was reasonable but not amazing. I ordered the trio of roasts but there was no Pork left so had extra beef. The Beef was pretty good as was the vegetable sides but the roast chicken was over cooked and dry. The ‘bottomless gravy’ on the menu did not appear as when I asked for more it didn’t arrive. My wife had the Sea Bass which she said was good. and the starters were fine. We had a nice meal but could have been improved with a bit more attention to detail."

the table was booked for a 60th meal, we were not rushed at all, eating and drinking was amazing, personal cared for us very well, will go again soon?

Food and drink very good. Waitress was first class. Would suggest adding cheese plate to menu. Unfortunately unpleasant odour emanated from lower stairwell leading to Loos.

smaller parts than the sister pub. slow service and a very atmospheric waitress that produces our dessert. sons chickem was to dry, swallow and brown lettice. very dissapointing.

it was a quiet Thursday afternoon, but the te staff was excellent and the eating was perfect. I haven't been a fan of vic yet, but the staff and eating have changed me. I'll be back soon.

Friendly welcome, efficient service and great food. Scallops and liver parfait starters were gorgeous. the fish and chips were freshly cooked with the biggest piece of fish ever. Linguine with prawns nicely spiced and a generous portion.

Lovely waitress and atmosphere but I did feel that the food had been under the kitchen lights waiting to be given to us. It all tasted fine but was dry, so the pea purée had definitely seen better days. The fish cakes were fine but the asparagus and chips were not brilliant I have to say.

specially booked to give the big kids a pizza, as we know that they only find around 18 o'clock, they were not able to do them as no bases or mozzarella. the children 5 and 10 had a ok mac and cheese, but the portion size for a 10 years old was tiny. we had the crab pasta dish that was not very tasteful, asked about something parmesan, but no available. on the positive side, the employees were helpful and polite, but not inaccessible for the meal.
