Great views excellent food and good service. The portions were generous and the food well prepared presented by helpful and attentive staff.

Unless you are a resident you are not welcome. Lots of walking reviews and campsites tell you this is a good stop off for drinks. It’s a lie and the staff make sure you know you are not welcome Ver carta

We went during restaurants week in Norfolk and had poor cheap to prepare food ,poor service from the manager and the restaurant had six couples with dogs some of which barked and the owners were not spoken to.

The restaurant had a beautiful atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. The salmon starter was inedible and had to be sent back. The goulash was delicious, but the beef slices in the main course were tough and chewy. The cottage pie lacked flavor. The cheese served for dessert was okay, but the portion size was very small.

Both of my children ordered pancakes and ice cream for dessert. Only one serving arrived, so my son graciously let his sister have it. After waiting for over half an hour for the missing dessert, we asked two different staff members, but it never arrived. Unfortunately, 30 minutes after we finished our meals, my son, whose birthday it was, decided he didn't want to wait any longer. We paid our bill and left feeling disappointed. Having grown up in the area and previously frequented the place just for drinks (when we perhaps didn 't want a meal), we were always made welcome. Now, today we have been told unless you are booked in for a meal you can 't be served drinks as its not bar! . How pretentious and business naive is that to turn away footfall business. Won 't recommend and won 't come back until management are changed or change their business direction. Clearly that explains how QUIET it was with people using the car park to simply go walking!

My wife and I visited the Victoria at 2.40pm on a Monday. We knew they stopped serving food at 2.30pm but we intended to pop in, buy a drink and see what the place was like with a view to booking a table for a meal later in the week. On arrival although the place is open between lunch and evening meal times, we were immediately told that they only sold drinks with meals and we were therefore unable to just buy drinks. It's a hotel!!!! Needless to say we won't be returning for a meal or a hotel stay. This used to be a very welcoming establishment but with attitudes like that towards potential customers it could well be a short lived venture.

I had a fantastic birthday meal at the Victoria Hotel. They made it special by giving me a birthday card. I started with delicious tomato and mozzarella bruschetta paired with Pinot Grigio wine. The sea bass for the main course was perfectly cooked, and the Pinot Noir Rosé wine complemented it well. I also enjoyed an espresso martini at the beginning. For dessert, the four cheeses with Armagnac were a great choice. The service by Flo and the team was attentive, and the restaurant had a great ambiance. Both my partner and I had a wonderful evening, and the bill of £149 felt like good value for the quality and quantity of food and drinks. Thank you, Victoria Hotel! Ver carta
