"I was collecting my daughter from school and I had time to kill so I thought I would explore the neighbouring villages hoping to get a coffee somewhere. I stumbled on this and as it was lunchtime decided to treat myself. The decor is in keeping with the age of the building but it is not dated, spotless and very welcoming. It looks as though it was purposely designed that way and not just a mish mash collected over the years! The staff were great , from the initial greeting to the final bill. Warm, friendly, efficient service spot on. I mean this as a compliment but you would not know they were around and yet they were. I hate the obsequiousness you sometimes get with people hovering around. I know it is meant to be attention to detail but it just makes me uncomfortable. The food is not fancy but they obviously know what works for them and what they are good at. That scores highly with me. The menu may not be extensive but there is something for everyone. The food came thoughtfully presented, by that I mean it was actually placed and not just a case of filling an empty space. It was piping hot and most importantly it tasted good. My only regret is that I did not have the space for a dessert and they looked tasty. I had broccoli and stilton soup and haddock and chips but I saw some tables with steak pie and macaroni cheese and all looked delicious I saw lots of empty plates. To end it all I got two lovely mints with my bill which I may say was very reasonable. All in all what 's not to like. If you are in this neck of the woods I would heartily recommend a special trip to The Village Inn. As Arnie famously said I 'll be back ."

We decided to go in to celebrate my birthday and meet some friends as we fought that the place is family friendly but we were told that we couldn’t be in as the place is not a pub and we could go to other bars...

Once again, back here to this lovely place,(Village inn) Me and my fiancee, we just can't keep away, we both enjoyed our Sunday dinner, kev had the garlic breaded mushrooms and side salad,which was delicious, then for main I had the roast beef and turkey...

This is the first time I’ve been to the village inn. What a lovely place. Great selection of food at very reasonable prices and very generous portions. We were served by a lovely young man who couldn’t be more helpful. I’ll definitely be back. This is a hidden gem in Bridge of Earn

Went in by chance we would get a table and we did, although it was busy. Opted for the smaller portions which were ample. Very tasty steak pie and Scampi. Fresh and flavoursome. Not over expensive either. The restaurant is well spaced out, clean and well lit. The staff are very friendly and professional Would recommend and will be back.

Have to put this review up, this was our first time at the Village Inn, we were here for lunch for our son's birthday, the food was absolutely amazing, the quantity was fantastic, atmosphere was lovely,and staff were very pleasant and worked hard, will be back and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to eat out, many thanks from the Doig Family.

Came back once again, as food and service is always very good me and my fiancee enjoyed our starter I had the breaded mushrooms and salad and kevhad haggis fritters both plates were delicious then I had the roast beef and all the trimmings was delicious kev had the steak pie ,trimmings was very good i then ordered the delicious cheesecake but took it home to eat as I was so full ,lol, but great dinner ,great polite service and always a very warm welcome, we will be back soon Elaine and kev Perth
