The Vine - Carta

Really great evening had by all at The Vine, the children were looked after with an amazing array of ghoulish goodies and parents tucked into a few smooth beers. Many thanks Jess and team.

Popped in for lunch for two. We both had sandwiches (choice of breads, fillings etc) which come with fries. Both were excellent. The lady behind the bar was great fun. I will happily pop back again (although sadly I live minutes away).

This pub is located is a fabulous village and sadly the only one remaining pub. However, the staff are great and the food is amazing. This is worth a visit and will be a good choice if you are doing a trip through Hampshire...on the South Coast path etc. Ver carta

Pop in for a spur of the moment breakfast after an early morning football match and despite arriving just before the end of breakfast service we were given and warm and friendly welcome, we had a full english and eggs benedict which were both very...tasty.

Thank you to the Vine for another excellent lunch. The belly pork bites were juicy and full of umami flavour and the fish and chips were really fresh and had a lovely crunch. The home-made tartar sauce and crushed peas were nice touches too. Keep...it going and we’ll keep coming!

we have eaten twice here, I had the frying, trio of meat both paintings. £20, but worth every penny, very generous portions and one of the most delicious roasts I had. service, personal all excellent. ambiente, beautiful, roaring kamin and many natives, always a good sign. the new public know what they do. can not wait for our next visit love the higson xxx Ver carta

Since Jess and Jai took over the pub has got better and better. A lovely couple with a great young team around them, the atmosphere, service and quality of the food has improved immensely. They support older patrons and new residents out of their own...pockets. We’ve never had a bad meal since Jess and Jai took over and I really hope they stay for the long term

Called in to The Vine for a beer and met a young lady painting a wall. She quickly downed tools and served an excellent pint. The beer was crisp and clean, absolutely fabulous! Jess, the licencee, is an enthusiastic publican and fully understands what beer...drinkers want. The menu looked inviting and I will return for a dinner with my wife. Came here on a Saturday evening on recommendation from several family members who have been in the past. We were seated on a very sticky table, which was rather off putting to say the least. We were also seated very close to another table so...lacked privacy when chatting for the evening. Surprisingly there was no low music which would have been nice for the atmosphere of this pretty pub. All food served was very tasty, however we were not asked if we wanted any condiments with our meals, and we had to wait a while to flag down a waitress to request these.
