Great friendly pub with plenty of great drinks. Food looks incredible (wasn't eating)

an absolutely shiny star in the middle of the village. service was impeccable, eating stunning and very cheap. a must!

very nice dishes. everything was fresh and delicious. the biggest highlight was the dame that served us. I miss the part where I speak about the price because I get ripe, but overall it was great.

The staff were so friendly, they really can’t be faulted and the food was delicious!!! The Landlord was incredible and full of advice about local products especially the local rums! Can’t recommend enough

The landlady and landlord gave me shelter in a time of need. They offered be food and something to quench my thirst. I will be back again to thank them. This time with a guitar and a good few nice songs to sing for them and their nice patrons.

large beer served by huge barrels behind the bar. - good more so. we had lunch and it was really nice eating. I had a chicken and specksalat freshly cooked chicken breast with crispy skin on and crispy smoked speck. salat well dressed with vinaiigrette and a flower on top. very pretty. my man had a melted chess and chutney baguette that he said was nice. great service and not overpriced. I'd get out of this, get back.

Myself and my partner dropped in on a Friday evening for a meal. Firstly we were very grateful as we shamefully didn't arrive until 20 minutes before food service was due to end, but they were still more than happy to accommodate us. Our wait staff were friendly throughout and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delightful, SO tasty. We had bbq pulled pork nachos to share and then a burger for main as well as a steak with white wine and Stilton sauce. The burger was lovely, but the steak was especially divine, and the sauce was the star of the show. Would absolutely go there again, so yummy and a lovely welcoming place to eat!

I wanted to write this review to praise the good, of which there is much, but also to call out a significant issue. To start with the good the food and service were excellent, with good portions of well prepared food and the staff were always friendly. On the downside I was surprised when my young son returned from a visit to the toilets to tell us that there were naked pictures on the wall. Having checked it out I was a bit disappointed to see that this was the case given how excellent and family friendly the rest of the visit had been. It seems odd in an age when even The Sun newspaper has taken the decision to end the daily objectification of women that pictures such as these should still...
