"We arrived at 8pm and initially I did wonder whether the pub was closed for the night. The pub was empty apart from our group of 4 and I and another 4 small groups. I have never seen anything like it on a Saturday night at prime time. The feeling of emptiness was exacerbated by the fact that it is such a huge venue. A selection of dishes were not available, including the steak and ale pie, kebabs, pizzas and sea bass. The service was periodic, and apart from bringing us our dishes the staff were not particularly attentive. They were pleasant and friendly and I sensed they were trying their hardest to make the best of what must have been a difficult and embarrassing situation for themselves. I ordered the 8 oz steak, and it was a poor quality cut. Overall the food was OK, but no better than one would expect from a Beefeater Harvester and not from a pub that should be leading with its food offering. And to finish off the evening no hot drinks were available either. No coffee, tea or hot chocolate, with the explanation that the machine broke during the week and they were waiting for it to be repaired. The explanation that it was spitting out smelly orange liquid was not what we needed to hear in the circumstances. You might ask why we didn't make a complaint to the staff there and then. To be honest, we chose not to do so because it wouldn't have been right to do so in this circumstance. I say that because it was clear the staff last night were trying their best, and the issues we experienced were likely to be as a consequence of wider management issues within the Marston's group. The staff looking after us last night could clearly do with some training, and I would suggest that someone from your regional management needs to give them support. Saturday night should be your biggest trading night of the week and it was clear that people are now voting with their feed and taking their business elsewhere. Times are tough for the hospitality industry at the moment which means venues need to go the extra mile to capture and retain customers and I do hope that you are able to turn around your situation at the White Hard. great to see that the Gradlisted building is taken over and made a fantastic work that it on. beer garden also great. the workers need much more training, service rather poor. eat smart, tasty, but my pigs do not cook long enough and our food was served in a bowl all mixed. prefer a plate. the children had the pizzas and they were great.

We dined at the White Hart for dinner. The food was decent and the service was a bit slow. There were a few items forgotten which resulted in us eating at different times. The setting was nice and we would consider returning for a drink. The price per person was £30-40. Overall, we rated the food a 3, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 5.

We booked a table of 15 for my birthday, we preordered ahead and all the food was served promptly and to a fantastic standard. We appreciated how hard it is to serve a large table and paying for our food was a breeze. This is my second time visiting this restaurant, and both times I have been turned away because they are not accepting walk-in customers due to low staffing levels. This is disappointing, especially since I made the effort to support a local business. I have also noticed that they offer discount days but do not have enough staff to handle the increased demand. Overall, the service rating is 1 out of 5.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, all home-cooked, and the staff is lovely. Our family lives in Kent and we met halfway in Windsor for a family meal. We were impressed by the look of the pub online, booked a table, and were not disappointed. We highly recommend it. The only downside was that the ladies' toilets smelled of drains, but that was a minor issue. The price per person is £40-50 and the food gets a rating of 5 out of 5.

for the first time since the restart yesterday visited lunch with a business partner and was very impressed by the new facility: a much lighter and more airy feeling for the place. all the staff were friendly and friendly, eating was nice, did not take too long to arrive, and the portions were appropriate. we sat outside in the back yard deck area and were grateful for the shadows made available by the large sunshade, as those in direct sunlight began to look quite hot, pink and sweaty as they enjoyed their food and drinks! the prices were also reasonable and we will definitely be back!
