We always fly buy for lunch when my girls come horse riding during weekend near my sister’s in Ramsden heath!!! Always last minute so never needed to book as it’s a village!! Only place guaranteed a table without booking with us travelling for all kid’s competition for swimming, gymnastics and football last minute!! Staff are asset to restaurants x

I've never been there until today, there were about 10 of us booked to have a family meal as we showed up from newcastle. we were not disappointed. we didn't get a starter as we weren't excited, but how great is that. starter, Sunday dinner and desert for £30. We had the beef dinner and it was amazing. one of the best we had. then I had the caramel tar to pudding and was perfect. highly recommended.

Had an absolutely top notch Sunday roast here in the new restaurant. Every component of the meal was so delicious and tasted homemade and the portions were very generous. Food was attractively presented too, with all the trimmings in individual dishes to help yourself to....And the service by Jay was excellent. Will be returning- am looking forward to trying the South American dishes next time. Thanks again for a lovely afternoon!

Took granddaughter here recently to kill a hour over lunch. For a 1st time visit. We were welcomed as we stepped in. The place was clean inside and ordered some drinks and went out to garden. Large children area with reasonable play items. Probably suitable for 4 years and up. Ordered some garlic bread and nuggets and chips and were hit and tasty. It was very quiet due to the time of day 12 to 1. Lots of little machines for kids so would return if in the area

What a lovely and lucky find! After a pleasant walk at Hanningfield Reservoir, we googled places to eat nearby and stumbled upon The White Horse. We were greeted with a warm welcome and were attentively served throughout. We were a large group of 8 and...so ate from both the main menu and the kids’ menu. Everyone left very happy! The food was tasty, well prepared and nicely presented. The service was excellent and the beer recommendations welcomed. Thank you for a great afternoon.

We had a wonderful meal on Boxing Day 2021, we were greeted by Luke who made us all comfortable and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was fantastic, has a great selection for adults and children. 11 of us had the roast beef which...was spectacular, the T Bone steak was juicy and tender and the chicken supreme was delicious . The deserts are a must so leave space for them! The décor is attractive and comfortable even with a large group we had plenty of room. We will definitely be back, the White Horse is a must if you are looking for great food and great service.

We live locally and have been visiting the pub for the last 6 years when the pub and food was average. The new owners have completely transformed the place. The pub area is lovely and has an excellent choice of beers, wine, gins etc. The...new Urban Fresh restaurant is amazing and the food is full of flavour. We’ve had the burger, steaks, Sunday roast, chicken skewers and all of the food is faultless and has a lot of flavour which is cooked to perfection. The service is excellent and the lady who runs the restaurant part is really friendly. We have been there on a number of occasions now and just want to keep on going back. the first and probably last time here so did not know what to expect. not to a good start, as our drinks have not arrived for 25 minutes. I found the menu bizarre, but I could be. I couldn't find a stater I liked so that I sat the first cursor out. I tried one of my friends who was excellent. to test the roast beef, and that had to be sent back as it was cold. my friends were similarly cold. they were replaced without problems. I felt like I just had a big baptismal food on my teller and left most of it. we were a party of eight and that seemed to be in a completely dysfunctional way. at this time I did not want any food and so ordered three of us Irish coffees, which were sent cold and back...

came this weekend with the family. sa in the garden so that the children can play on the playground. pub was busy with an event, but nothing too bad! garden seemed pretty quiet. After we have lived in the village for several years, we have always. at this pub because it is not only too foot away from our house, but because the children love the play area. the management has changed the hands 2 or 3 times, I believe in the last few years and we have never experienced such a rude manager.
