A favourite meeting place for old friends for many years, in fact decades. Good food and service as well as atmosphere

Fantastic! New head chef is definitely a big improvement! Had the salmon and it was fresh and hot. Very good quality highly recommend

Drove from Leicester as our friends family do the pizza's out of a wagon was not dissapointed at all worth the drive 10 Pub offers Corona Madri Morreti and San Miguel on draft so as I wasnt driving I had 3 pints of Corona be rude not too

Great pub for great food. But a little lacking on this occassion (literally). We were celebrating my hubby's b'day. When ordering a pie the Husband always asks whether it's just a pastry top or fully encased. This pie came looking like the dream pie..rather resembling a pork pie. Alas he was finding it hard going, saying it was dry and seemed a little over cooked. Only when we noticed another diners pie did we realise they'd forgotten to bring out the accompanying gravy boat! The other gripe was the acrid bitter after taste with the deep fried onion rings, made them inedible. But on previous visits the White Lion always scores 4 Ver carta
