"I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. At 8:30 PM, there were loud, screaming children, which made it hard to enjoy the meal. The menu had limited options, and half of the dishes were unavailable. We were also given no napkins, and the cutlery was worn out. The forks were oversized, making them uncomfortable to use. The food presentation was poor, and the wooden floors were scratched and unclean. The ceiling lights flickered, creating an unpleasant atmosphere, and there was no background music to set the mood. Overall, the place is in dire need of a thorough cleaning and a full renovation."

Some menu items were unavailable during my visit. Although it was a Wednesday, I would expect a hotel to maintain a high level of service consistently.

Some items on the menu were unavailable during my visit. It was a Wednesday, but since this is a hotel, I expect consistent quality service at all times.

I ordered a medium rare steak, but it was far from that. In fact, I'm not even sure it was truly a steak. It was honestly the worst steak we've ever had. The emptiness of the restaurant is likely a telling sign.

I ordered a medium rare steak, but it was nowhere close to what I expected. I'm not even sure it was a real steak. In fact, it was the worst steak we've ever had. The emptiness of the restaurant is probably a telltale sign.

Awful experience with screaming children around 8:30 PM. The menu selection was limited, and half of the items were unavailable. There were no napkins provided, the cutlery was worn, and the forks were enormous. The food was poorly presented, and the wooden floors were scuffed and dirty. The ceiling lights flickered, creating a lack of ambiance, with no soft background music to enhance the atmosphere. Overall, it was simply terrible and in desperate need of a thorough cleaning and complete renovation.

"Our first experience at a Zizzi… We arrived at 12:30 on a Saturday expecting the place to be packed but happily we managed to get a table straight away we had a nice booth tucked away in the corner. I visited the toilets first of all which, let me just say.. the corridor definitely took me by surprise! Each toilet is in its own little room with your own personal sink, I think it’s the best way to have public toilets. First of all, we ordered drinks which was 2x glass bottle cokes which are the best type our drinks came with a complimentary portion of pasta crisps. We ordered a cheesy garlic bread without the caramelised onions for starter which arrived pre sliced and was really delicious, it could’ve done with a little more cheese though. For mains, my partner had spaghetti bolognese and I had the pepperoni campagna pizza with added chicken. The pizza was delicious, a little unbalanced on the toppings, it was nice and full on the right side of the pizza compared to the left side but I was full by the time I reached that side anyway! Bonus points for the mini pizza cutter, that was brilliant. The food was generally good, my partner said the spaghetti needed a little salt to bring the flavour out but it was a good sized portion and both meals were made with quality ingredients. During the main course, I ordered a couple of “softail” drinks; the Pineapple Punch and the Passion Fruitini I wasn’t very impressed with these, they were far too sweet and mostly filled with ice, I just expected more for from two drinks that cost £9.90. The staff were generally friendly, we did keep hearing one of the chefs shouting at one of his co workers, something about a metal bowl but he was very loud and aggressive not something you want to have on show if you’re going to have a open kitchen in your restaurant. We used the QR code to pay our bill which was a nice and easy way to do it."
