Such a strange place.. food was incredible but other than that… dull. Food was absolutely delightful though and the staff are very friendly.. it’s just a bit.. ugh

We planned to go for some food. We walked in to the area where dogs are allowed and there was no atmosphere whatsoever. There were a few tables with people, but we just decided to stay for a drink as we didn’t fancy food to the atmosphere.

This restaurant is simply fantastic! The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. The portion sizes are huge, the Sunday lunches are amazing, and it's a great spot for dinner. We will definitely be returning soon. Ver carta

This village pub is fantastic, with a delicious menu and generous portions of freshly cooked food. The staff are friendly and rooms are available for those looking to spend the night after a lovely meal and drinks. Don't forget to start your day with a freshly cooked English breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon, and we'll definitely be back next time.

We stayed at the pub and had a great experience. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, giving us an airbed so our family of 4 could sleep in a 3 person room at no extra cost. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and all the staff were helpful, friendly, and polite. If we are in the area visiting friends again, we will definitely stay here. Thank you!

Travelled quite some distance to visit but how very disappointing! NOT as dog friendly as advertised. Dogs only allowed outside or in the bar area. Service was shocking! Waitress shut us down after bringing drinks when we asked to order food. She went off muttering something about getting her notepad. Food was very bland. Only positive was the big portion size. Will NOT be returning or recommending Ver carta

Saw the menu online and was impressed so went to try the place. Lovely traditional Inn, warm and welcoming on a rainy day. Sat in the restaurant by the window and what a spectacular view! Stunning! I had veggie lasagne, the wife had sizzling chicken in a tomato and chilli sauce. Both were very nice and good portion size. Lady that served us was very pleasant so all in a very nice lunch with a stunning view in a lovely place. My wife was really impressed so browny points as well. We'll definitely go back next time we're in the area.

Just stayed at the log cabin for one night, so impressed with how beautiful it is. It was everything and more with its own private patio with table and chairs also sun loungers,we hit lucky with the lovely sunshine. The cabin is so clean and very warm with radiator's in every room,TV,tea and coffee making facilities lovely king size bed (so comfortable). The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the owner Gail ,even bringing our evening meal and breakfast to our patio to enjoy the views while eating the amazing food. Couldn't fault it at all and we have already booked to stay again.

We hadn’t been here for quite a while so thought we’d pop in. We arrived at 11.30 and were told meals weren’t served until 12.00 by a very friendly waitress. My husband ordered the Greek style lamb which came with roast potatoes and a selection of vegetables. The lamb melted into his mouth and the sauce was rich and tasty. I had the balsamic and sun dried tomato monkfish which came with rice and was absolutely delicious. You could taste the honey in the sauce and the balsamic vinegar gave it a slight kick. We couldn’t resist dessert and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and judging by the clean bowl and speed it was eaten, he thoroughly enjoyed it. I went for the fruit... Ver carta
