"My husband called in here one Sunday for a lite bite. The place was busy but we managed to get a table and I thought it had quite a nice ‘feel’ to the place, although the wooden table needed a good clean as it felt...sticky! After looking at the menu I went to the counter to be served by someone who looked like she didn’t want to be there, I ordered my food and drinks, she put the drinks on a tray, told me how much, I payed and left with no ‘thank you’ from her or any conversation at all. I got the feeling that they were very short staffed as there seemed to be one serving and one in the kitchen. I had to wait quite a long time for my bagel and when the girl brought it, again in her very unfriendly manner, I was surprised to find that it wasn’t toasted which could be just me but I’ve never had a I toasted bagel before. Anyway it tasted ok but then I found out the a quarter of the bread was so stale that I had to leave it. I decided to just leave, to have complained would have been a nightmare as the staff were so busy. I hope that this was an unusual case, but I have discovered that the place is up for sale so maybe the owners have just lost any interest in the place. I would be reluctant to visit again which is a shame being the only vegetarian and vegan cafe in chesterfield."

warm welcome, nice fresh food and I warned that I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my food. a good lunch and recommend.

Serving lots of vegan and vegetarian meals and cake. Good options of soya, almond milks etc. Specials board always has something interesting on it. Enough space for prams.

I love this place! I am vegan with allergies so feel safe to order without knowing I'm going to get ill. Staff have always been friendly to me and my daughter's. To be honest we travel miles down the motorway just to visit this cafe,...the food is always delicious. The vegan breakfasts are amazing!! I'm going to get ready and go today

a day trip to chesterfield was made special by the fantastic lunch and the wonderful service. we visit the family in the opposite, found this caffe over 10 years ago and are always looking forward to visiting - there are plenty of choices that are generous to eat. mama thought the Veg-Lasagne was the best of all time! and dog friendly also:

I have been here for Breakfast and Lunch, both times the place was busy, staff really friendly and options were plentiful. I have had the Vegan Breakfast with a lentil (I think) sausage, the Breakfast was amazing but the sausage wasn't the best, wouldn't recommend that maybe move to Linda McCartney's. For lunch I had a Mushroom and Red Pepper panini with a Leek and Potato soup which was amazing. My favourite soup. Would definitely come again one of 2 veggie places in little Chesterfield centre.

Wow! We have visited this place several times over the years and always been impressed, but we visited again and were overwhelmed by the fantastic service. We have always loved the food here, and it didn't fail to impress this time,the salads are incredible! We...brought our dog and sat outside this time, and the waitress very kindly brought him some water and dog treats, very kind! We had excellent food and service, I really could not fault the experience. The best veggie cafe for miles, easily!

I was in Chesterfield for a short stay and ate lunch twice at Thyme to Eat. Both were satisfying, tasty meals. The place seemed very popular with the locals, some having just coffee and cake. Menu includes soups, hot meals, a daily risotto, desserts and coffees and teas. Breakfast too. Quick service. Has a few shelves of packaged goods, spices and teas. I had the nutty parsnip and celeriac bake with potatoes and salad and, next day, the nut roast with potatoes, four vegetables and veg gravy. Good!
