good food and good value for money. welcome and attentive?

in this pub often go, but this visit was very bad, eat not good quality, wait a long time to sit.

1. since the remodeling. careful waitress and good variety of food and freshly not dried under the lights. well thro put to eat from the buffet.

First time at this Toby! Not disappointed though as clean and tidy ,plenty of staff and food was lovely . Highly recommend if you fancy a good priced decent filling meal .

Carvery was excellent and many different vegetables to choose. I had only the pig and it melted in my mouth it was nice. daughter had the gammon and said that it was also beautiful

excellent well cooked food. very pleasant helpful staff especially chloe our waitress. we found out that the only thing we were not too happy about was where our table lay, it was in a dark spot. it was extremely busy or we might have asked for another table, but the meal was great.

It had been a while since we had visited this establishment owing to the pandemic we found the reception was OK just a very short wait, the portions of the meats smaller, and the quality of the veg was average. The waitress we had was very pleasant in the restaurant, the bar staff were OK, nothing particularly welcoming. The one thing that did strike us was how much the price has increased since our last visit

Having been a long term fan of this establishment it is sad to see how run down and shabby it looks. the workers are knd ,considerate amd helpful cheerful and welcoming but the carvry vegeatabled are awful. looking stale and drier up with very limited choice. Do we need 3 types of potato, and a macaronie cheesewhich tastes of nothing !!!!!. the peas were not green, the cabbage uninterestingand the gravy cold. Meat portion good and tasty, but the cauliflower cheese laks cheese.. It all used to be such good value but not any more. Sorry will not be going again for a bit

My taxi was late despite a pre booking so I rang The Fork and a lovely girl said not to worry and that they would keep the table for me. When I eventually arrived another female appeared to be struggling with the computer so I enquired. She had noticed my walker and the table reserved for me was up a couple of steps so she was looking where she could change the location. I reassured her that I could manage a couple of small steps. So she took me to the table checking I was sure I could manage and, as it was a carvery meal, said just to shout to get someone to carry the plate up. I had no trouble getting another waitress to carry my plate to the table and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The girl...
