Toninos - Carta

A great family run Italian restaurant. Good food and drink. Great service and made to feel very welcome. Worth booking a table as they get busy.

Had a lovely anniversary meal at Toninos. The staff were helpful polite. The food was wonderful the atmosphere was intimate. Will definitely be returning when next in Cowes.

So so spaghetti seafood. Pomadoro sauce ciuld be reduced further to stick to the padta. 10% service charge do they have a buffet no. Can I collect my food from the pass , no. What choice do I have they have to serve me (service should be included if there is no alternative!! Ver carta

This dinning experience was not a pleasant experience. It was over priced for what we received. The only positive was the waitress. The dishes were described as traditional but lacked taste and seasoning. Very disappointing as we hoped it would deliver. We will not recommend or return.

I had a truly fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere was friendly and the Italian wine was a delightful addition. It felt like I was eating authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy setting, all at a great value. I would highly recommend this place.

Haven't been here for years so we decided to pop in for a meal as we ended up in Cowes. Thankfully they managed to accommodate us without a booking on a busy Saturday night. The staff were friendly and inviting, the atmosphere was very pleasant despite it being busy the food was great. Hopefully it will not be years before my next chance to visit. Ver carta

Without making a booking, they kindly found a space for us in busy Cowes Week. A very good choice of main courses, all well cooked. We shared a started of carpaccio of fillet steak very tender served with parmesan shavings oil. Then I had a tuna fillet fresh pink and they gave me extra tomatoes as I didn't want chips ! My husband had a lovely thin pizza and we both had glasses of house wine. A lovely meal with good service.

The evening began on a good note, but was ultimately spoiled when a large noisy group overtook our table for two. The restaurant staff did not offer to relocate us, and we had to request to be moved. We were eventually moved (mostly on our own) to a quieter area, although somewhat ungraciously. The portions were very generous, but they lacked expertise in serving the classic Italian dessert Affogato, which came with cold instant coffee. Overall, we would not return to this restaurant or recommend it to others.

We made a reservation in advance and arrived on time at Toninos, where we were greeted by an elderly gentleman who seemed surprised by our early booking. We were seated by the door, but one side of our table was obstructed, so one of our party had to sit at an angle. The staff kindly offered us a different table, but it was also cramped. The tables were all close together, so we were glad we had booked an early dinner. We ordered the lamb stew, which was overly salty and the vegetables were undercooked. The food was mediocre and we were disappointed. We do not recommend Toninos and will not be returning if we visit Cowes again. Ver carta
