"We made a reservation in advance and arrived on time at Toninos, where we were greeted by an elderly gentleman who seemed surprised by our early booking. We were seated by the door, but one side of our table was obstructed, so one of our party had to sit at an angle. The staff kindly offered us a different table, but it was also cramped. The tables were all close together, so we were glad we had booked an early dinner. We ordered the lamb stew, which was overly salty and the vegetables were undercooked. The food was mediocre and we were disappointed. We do not recommend Toninos and will not be returning if we visit Cowes again."

My Mum celebrated her 70th at Tonino’s and it didn’t disappoint! We had a wonderful, authentic Italian meal. Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit.

It felt like I was eating authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy setting, all at a great value. I would highly recommend this place.

The evening began on a good note, but was ultimately spoiled when a large noisy group overtook our table for two. The restaurant staff did not offer to relocate us, and we had to request to be moved. We were eventually moved (mostly on our own) to a quieter area, although somewhat ungraciously. The portions were very generous, but they lacked expertise in serving the classic Italian dessert Affogato, which came with cold instant coffee. Overall, we would not return to this restaurant or recommend it to others.
