"Been here before and food was terrible, dry, overcooked, burnt, cold and not very appetising. A year later we thought we’d give it a chance and see if it had improved. Unfortunately or fortunately we didn’t get to find out. Service is absolutely abysmal. Booked a table online, no problem. When we arrived, went to the bar and asked where our table was. Advised that the waitress puts names on reserved tables and had to find it ourselves. Name not on any table, obviously. Stood around in dining area waiting for service or help but nothing. Chef saw us from kitchen and so did gormless waiter but not one of them came out to ask why we were waiting for a table or not being served. Rude. Actually funny that a table for 6 was reserved in the name of lesa, if that’s a name and reckoned it was for us, even though that’s not close, morons. No surprise, we left and won’t return. How on earth does your business function? The brewery needs to know. All that will happen is the manager will say to contact him etc to discuss it further. Nothing needs to be discussed further, my review stands. I look forward to your generic response"

Such a nice friendly pub, great selection of beers and they’ve always got me the headline sports on

No mushroom chilli so had to go for Katsu Curry which was nice a little salty but edible. Was very quiet when we were there for a lunch time but OK.

Very noisy with music and tv sports plus a noisy group of customers we couldn't have a conversation as it was so loud but the food was worth the very long wait

Background music would be a great addition to this place as you can often only here the clink of glasses and the sports/news channel.... More publicity and live acts or fun events, regular family quiz nights etc would be beneficial too! Let's liven it up a bit and create a more fun and inviting atmosphere!

Always a lovely experience when we come here, the food is amazing and the staff are great always friendly and smiling, Wayne goes out of his way every time we have been here to make sure everything is ok, the kids love the food from here too, will always come here as my first choice to eat. It’s lovely and clean. Thankyou for always making our visits great Wayne

Hired their function room and was such a good decision. We was able to arrange buffet food and use their music surround system for a playlist and their tv for a sideshow of photos. They put signs up for us to advise it's a private function so no one came in and we was allowed the room for as long as we wanted for such a reasonable price. Would definitely use again!

Second time in a row been here for food and quite frankly its horrific. Last time had Hunters chicken and it was obvious it was microwave reheated as it was hard and couldnt chew it. This time went for lunch and got Steak Panini and it was not eatable. You couldnt even bite through it let alone chew it. Wont be back and its a shame as only pub in town to eat but needs new owners for me to even contemplate it again. Used to be ok and kids love it but food is so bad go somewhere else.
