Home-made trattoria outside the bedlam and nightlife of the historic center of Palermo, yet a stone's throw from the central Via Maqueda, it is located along the route of Via Judica, suggestive and quiet, not far from the Piazzetta dei Beati Paoli and the Mercato del boss. Excellent food: pasta and fish-based starters and of course good typical fish dishes. Paid very little for Palermo standards. Definitely honest and welcoming, therefore to be recommended. Siamo stati ieri sera sotto consiglio di Luciano il barbiere e li siamo immensamente grati. Avendo mangiato tanto durante il giorno e volendo star leggera ho ordinato una pepata di cozze (buonissime, tutte belle grandi e succose) ed il cameriere mi ha suggerito delle polpette di sarde (una meraviglia). Il mio ragazzo ha preso le tagliatelle di gamberetti e vongole, anche questa abbondante e saporitissima. Se siete a Palermo e vi va di mangiare bene in un locale tranquillo dal servizio impeccabile ve lo stra-consiglio

Allora cosa dire abbiamo cenato qui su consiglio di un caro amico ... E devo dire che sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito dalla freschezza del pesce e della pulizia del posto .. ci hanno servito una serie di antipasti nn freddi o preparati ma anche essi di pesce fresco.... Ottimi ... Poi due primi una calamarata ai frutti di mare stupenda e una casarecce lido buone ...con un secondo di orata gambero todaro ... Con del buon vino locale ... Cortesia e gentilezza hanno fatto da contorno a questa ottima cena .. lo consiglio vivamente .. per quello che abbiamo mangiato il prezzo è giusto ci torneremo

I spent 3 weeks in palermo and I must conclude that this is my favorite restaurant in the city. it looks pretty inconspicuous and even when they pass, there is a chance they miss it. it is in a small quiet side street and not known from tourist, because they prefer the louder main roads like via roma. here is the reason why this restaurant is so good: mainly visited by Italians, excellent value for money, fresh and tasty seafood, a great menu, and the personal is just so friendly. I went twice to my last two days in palermo and on the second visit it already felt as if I went to a place I visited for years because the waiter was very welcoming and immediately recognized me and even knew what...
