"I have had a great number of treats provided by Jan of Truffleicious from bean salads to homemade ice cream to tarts and cakes. It has always been so good! Perhaps my favourite to date is her chocolate brownie with strawberries, although her lemon tart with meringue is not to be passed up either. Or the peach flan... seriously, so many lovely choices, and yet I have never been disappointed. Portions are good size you get your money's worth with Jan. All food is take away, but luckily a lovely, quaint NT garden is on hand very very nearby to sit in and enjoy your takeaway treats. Booking is advisable as she can sell out quickly on a sunny day; she is popular with the locals, so don't miss out!"

These gluten-free cakes are the best I've ever had! Absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning just for the food.

Recommended place for AW! Chill and calm atmosphere and great place to grab a drink and something small to eat on the side.

The strawberry ice cream at this restaurant is incredible, made with natural ingredients that taste just like fresh strawberries. Both kids and adults loved it!

Had an Italian salad to take as a picnic in the grounds, very large portion that was so nice had to take the remainder home. Really beautiful set up, would def go again.

I’m approaching 70. My mother made me banana ice cream once when I was 7. Delicious ; never had anything as good since .....until today. It’s a grand thing when food triggers a fond memory. It was the ice cream of the day , but there’s something strangely magical about this setting ,and the lady who owns it, so I expect she will serve you what ever your heart secretly yearns for. Do. Try It. And I will return.

Not only does Jan come across as a thoroughly decent person, but oh my god, when you taste her truffles (no sniggering) you will think you have died and gone to truffle heaven. such an array of sensational flavours, hand crafted and truly amazing. You will wish Jan lived next door to you, in fact I am considering upping sticks and buying whatever house is next door to her, just so I can spend my day's inhaling the aroma of Truffleicious

We had a wonderful afternoon at Great Chalfield Manor Gardens, topped off with a picnic lunch at Truffleicious. We were lucky to order our food before the 2pm house tour, as by the time we returned at 3pm, all the delicious home-cooked food had been sold out. We enjoyed our meal inside due to the hot weather, although there are many charming outdoor seating areas in the gardens. We also purchased some homemade rolls (spelt, rye carrot) to enjoy later, which were very tasty. We highly recommend Truffleicious for its delicious, homemade food. We look forward to returning to try their cakes and ice cream next time.

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."

"We had a tremendously good lunch here today-the food was quite delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful-I’d say it’s probably one of the best lunches I’ve had in quite some time….so to give you a clue we both had the pork-this sounded really lovely and we were not disappointed-pork belly, tenderloin,a faggot and a ham hock croquet with mashed potato and roasted cauliflower with a delicious jus and a slice of pickled apple( which I ate immediately with a piece of pork and when the waiter came to ask how our lunch was I asked if he could possibly get me another piece-which he did For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brûlée which came with a passion fruit sorbet and some chocolate soil…..the focaccia we had at the start of the meal was superb and the coffee was also excellent -we do enjoy both cooking and eating-one of life’s pleasures and it’s abundantly clear the chef absolutely loves food too-a great display of cooking books from the greats sort of got me thinking it would be a good lunch…….also worth noting the drinks menu-some lovely wines, soft drinks and cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I finished off with a mocha which was hot chocolatey but not too sweet. Bradford on Avon is most definitely worth a visit and I’d say you would be foolish to miss out on a great experience if you didn’t also pop in to the bunch of grapes for some sustenance while there… Thanks for lunch and as Arnie says “ we’ll be back”….."
