"Although local to the village, I haven't eaten in the Turks for about months so the chance to celebrate a friends birthday offered an opportunity to try it again. We enjoyed a good meal last time we ate here but since then the...chef has changed so we were interested to see how things had changed; we were not disappointed. Without exception, the food was excellent. We all ordered starters and mains. There is a decent selection including a lot of pub favourites so thre was plenty of choice. Wednesday night was also curry night so in addition there was also a selection of curries to choose from. I believe they also do other theme nights including a steak night. Among the mains we ordered were: local sausage and mash with onion gravy, chicken and ribs combo, madras curry, beer battered haddock and chips and lasagne with garlic bread. They were all beautifully cooked. The starters included potato skins with cheese and bacon (home made with generous skins) and a brilliant half rack of ribs which were delicious. The service was really friendly, prompt and helpful. Only reason it's a and not a is there was no ice for the gin and tonics and no inclination to pop to the local shop to get any. The wine choice was also very limited but in fairness the Hardys red and whites were fine. for including drinks was good value. Definitely eat here more often, a gem in the village."

Lockdown setup was really good, pleasant outside area to sit in, staff were friendly enough and the Sunday Dinner wrap was excellent

We went here Saturday evening, the food was excellent. There was a guy called Leigh Hitch playing a guitar and singing, he was really good and it contributed to a very nice evening.

Was here for a meal on valentines night with my hubby, sister and brother in law, staff were very pleasant and could not have done anymore than they did: service was spot on and the food was just delicious, would certainly recommend this pub to...anyone who fancies a good meal in nice surroundings.

This looked like a popular locals' pub but we were given a friendly welcome by the member of staff and enjoyed a drink in this modern looking pub with chunky pine beams and pleasant décor. I don't know if the vegetable curry and three bean...chilli are vegan friendly but there's a good chance they are, in addition to the classic jacket potato and beans with salad.

Pros: • Nice setting. • Friendly staff. • Reasonably priced. • Decent starters. Cons: • We turned up on time but our starters didn’t appear for another hour. To be fair, the gap between our starters and main meal wasn’t too bad. • The roast...potatoes were underdone and the Yorkshire puddings were overdone; I could have more readily accepted this if it was the other way round. Our wait for the starter prevents me from rating this more than two stars as it’s not the first time we’ve had the same problem at the Turks Head. It’s a shame as there’s potential for a decent restaurant here.

The restaurant was accommodating enough to seat us towards the end of their service. The food was nice, especially the sliders which had great meat. The homemade burgers were also tasty and a great value. All the food we tried was good and the drinks were reasonably priced. The service was good and the staff were friendly. The only issue was that it felt a bit like a daycare with a young girl, possibly the owner's daughter, in the seating area with toys and coloring books. It wasn't very comfortable to have a meal in that environment, especially when greeted by staff eating their dinner at the bar.

I recently dined at this restaurant with my family. They ordered the fish and chips with fresh minted mushy peas, while I opted for the triple slider burger with beef and blue cheese. The burger was perfectly balanced with beef, pulled pork, chicken, mayo, lettuce, and everything cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and the cost for our big meals, pints of premium lager, and a double gin and ginger was reasonable. The only minor issue was that the brioche rolls felt a bit dry, possibly due to the extreme heat. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning. They have a smoking area and car park, and the restaurant is located in a lovely village with beau...

The restaurant had Covid restrictions in place on the day we visited, so outdoor dining only was available, which was not a problem at all. We ordered the beef giant Yorkshire wraps and halloumi burgers. The wraps had the option of beef or pork and came with a side of roast potatoes and gravy, which we all enjoyed. The halloumi burgers came with fries and coleslaw and were also delicious. We also had a selection of cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and although the coke machine was broken, the repair guy arrived promptly while we were there. The service was excellent, with staff checking on us enough times to ensure everything was okay and if we needed anything (just the right amount...

"Very good. this renovated and updated gastro pub has a beautiful, high-end feeling, without too posh. the personal is pleasant, real and well maintained. good drink selection! music selection didn't seem fit, but not extraordinarily. eating is exceptional, but, based on some personal preferences, there were slightly smaller disappointments with each dish. all were presented beautifully! the scallop starter was perfectly cooked, but there was an unexpected sticky texture on the sea red side. the chilis needed something sweet to balance them, but it was a nice warm pop. the acid from the grapefruit mixed with the petersilie mayonnaise drizzle, but both were delicious. some either flash-frozen or dry germinated greens gave beautiful texture, and the dish as a whole was beautiful. the duck ice starter was rich without being hard. slowly boiled (inspiring sous vide,) the egg was perfect. it was on a bed of slowly baked cheekwange, which is longing! some picking mushrooms have also added beautiful acid contrast. the brioche disc on which everything sat was not my favorite, but again can be personal preference. it seemed too thick, dense and sweet for the court. either would have been a nice sourded or an airy crawling cut my choice. again a very tasty dish. the healbutt main was absolutely wonderful! in butter lubricated, with fennel, white asparagus, a butter sauce with raw and squid-ink pasta. all with dill fronds. only small critique was the toughness of the tips of the braided fennel without knife, which is suitable for cutting through. a unique and very pleasant experience! it was great."
