"We live in the village and used to go to La Cascade regularly. The food is good if unimaginative. I liked the lamb which was tender. My husband had a bad steak tartare. The restaurant is central, busy and has a roadside outside terrace. Not the best view in Villecroze but lovely on a hot day. The reason we stopped going however was the feeling that Martine was unfriendly. Despite seeing us and recognizing us as regulars, she never once spoke to us or acknowledged us so we've taken our custom elsewhere. She has her favorites but not us unfortunately."

"We went to La Place on a quiet weekday. Together with one other couple we were the only customers. Our QR codes were properly validated, and the staff were wearing masks. We had foie gras and salade de chevre for starters, followed by duck breast with blueberry sauce. Excellent, but too big for us to eat, so the leftovers were wrapped nicely in alu foil for us, and served as dinner the next day. No room for dessert. The local Domaine Valcolombe Baroque rouge wine was superb. All in all an excellent meal."

"Welcome to the top, the two waitresses are adorable, you ask for small crusts to eat with the homemade houmous served as an office, and they brought you with the smile, one of the guests did not want dessert, his daughter orders a lemon ice cream and told her father you will taste with me and the waitress brings discreetly two spoons with the ice... And the kitchen, a delight: once the order is placed and after the appetizer is finished, the waitress serves you a small house gaspacho in hors d'oeuvre, delicious. The menu at 28€ (entrance, dish and dessert) offered various dishes: we took the hot goat's plate in the entrance; If you were to see on your plate, green salad with 3 crusts and 3 slice of ben goat had to go somewhere else! There, it's the salad, small vegetables and 3 stuffed samoussas with goat, a delight and very copious. Then we took the tuna Tataki! Wonderful! Nickel Cooking, 3 to 4 beautiful pieces of red tuna from the small leaped vegetables (betterave, turnip, carrot, cherry tomato and zucchini) rice with coconut cream Sincerely, I highly recommend this restaurant Thank you very much, we will return"
