"The distinctive exterior gives an impression of authenticity and ambition. I never eat out these days as I’m invariably disappointed but thought I’d take a punt, just on that exterior. I can handle an alcohol free dining experience but what was on offer, drink-wise was uninspiring. I went to ‘lemon juice’ and my partner went for ‘carrot juice’. Surely it couldn’t just be lemon juice, carrot juice but it was; no frills, bog standard glassware. I imagine they prepare all their dishes in plastic takeaway tubs. A portion of meat, some veg and then rice. This makes them easy to store and reheat with portion control sorted. But to reheat it and present it on a plate still in the shape of an upturned takeaway tub wasn’t visually the most inspirational approach. Too much rice, too little flavour, too little value."

Friendly atmosphere. Great food.Reasonably priced. Service was a little slow in taking orders and it was not busy. However, everything else was very good. Would recommend to friends and will definitely dine there again.

Ugarit is a fairly small restaurant with really friendly staff and delicious food. Their desert range I limited but their starters and mains are outstanding and you never leave hungry because their portion sizes are quite generous. Really good value for money, we'll be back!

Very disappointing. Have looked forward to visiting Ugarit for some time. We are from out of town and so needed to drive in and find a parking space. Despite making a booking with OpenTable, when we arrived the restaurant was closed with a note in the window. Wasted journey... Ver carta

Been to Persian restaurants before in fact I have 2 favourites that do similar food and I return many times, but this one was only average the food was nice but nothing special and now I've tried it I wouldn't go again, they also do not sell beer or wine and you can not bring your own!!

excellent culinary experience in this restaurant authentic, fresh and healthy eating and a great menu with lasting to choose. I am vegan so loved the fact that there were many options for me. there are also meat options for every carnivore. friendly, professional staff. beautiful decoration also in restaurant!
