The vegetarian sharing board at this restaurant was phenomenal! Each dish was perfectly balanced and the cocktails were delightful. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem.

Quite a nice experience and their kitchen is opened till a little bit later than the pubs around them, which is a massive plus. Food was great and so were the members of the staff. Also it feels like being on a shared living room which makes it very cosy. Definitely recommended

Visited this great little place for my graduation lunch and I loved it . It surely is a hidden gem , nice little place in a basement close to grassmarket with low ceiling , dim light and soft music .The place is very relaxing and they serve Good cocktails and almost great food . Ver carta

Maybe because it's very close to my work, or maybe because I can't get enough of her cocktails, under the stairs is one of my fave places for an after-work collection. they love their comfortable couches and their quirky decoration. Eating is not bad either. it is also a good place for a date night.

it is certainly a hidden gem, busy in the night, but extremely quiet during the day. the location is a very cool basement. I came to lunch and had one of the many curious dishes of the day, Thai krabbenkuchen. I am not a garlic fan, but it was excellent and also beautiful! the personal is also very nice.

Great drinks, even better staff. Got here late off the London train hoping to find some food. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed so stayed for a drink and the bar woman went out of her way to try and find us nibbles. Have never felt so welcomed and are all a perfect example of going above and beyond. Owners should be proud of what they have going here. Ver carta

I love this place! the team is always friendly to me and there is always a real cozy atmosphere. there are vegetarian options are always a little interesting, I chose the burger and sweet potato fries with the hot salsa side sauce. large portion sizes! I returned a second time and with a friend, to the pittas with the three pates and (again) the sweet potatoes fries. fries portion is ideal for the price.

Best place ever! I visited the city for a weekend and couldn't resist coming back multiple times. Such an innovative, mind blowing menu and spectacularly done! Everything from the prices to the portions to the presentation and taste is phenomenal. Truly top notch. Staff are great and accommodating; one suggested to me what has become a new favorite drink the unlikely combo of white port wine and lemonade! Will be thinking of this place for a long time.

I've been a few time. I enjoyed a pot of tea one lazy Sunday on a comfy couch. There have been a few occasion where I've had drinks and the pitta strips and dips. The dips were out of this world. I've been in once for an evening meal and was really disappointed. It was so busy and the seating really is crammed in. Its not nice when people have to stand up from their meal to let you past. Both my friend and I got the steak and weren't impressed by or roast veg it was accompanied by. Some of the veg was uncooked on the inside and there wasn't enough of it. Ver carta
