Union Street Cafe - Menú

It is a good place and they quite often serve complimentary drinks as well. The food is good not amazing and the staff is also professional. Overall an average experience.

seabream and spicy lenses that I paired with one of my favorite Spanish. albariño was the brittle fresh of the wine perfect with this fish. had cadry and cartoffel croquettes as well as a dessert service was great. it was quite busy on Saturday afternoon. the portions were decent, and I burst on the sewn. No complaints :

Previously work near southwark and walk past this place a lot. it always looked inviting. it was like I tried tonight. really disappointed with eating. the soup was bitter and too salty. friends salted cod was not salty enough! the pasta was ok, but again too salty. more generous than expected. but given the food and the price, do not definitiw again.

We have been here quite a few times since we live nearby and we'd be coming even more often if it was dog friendly. The food is always good, with authentic Italian flavours and changed seasonally. Last week for example we enjoyed some stunning pumpkin and buttata starter and an incredible pork and aubergine main. Good and expert service and a nice bar downstairs, Union Street Cafe never fails to disappoint

I’ve been wanting to go to the Union Street Cafe since its opening last autumn but didn’t get my act together until Top Table sent me an email last week with an offer of an early evening spring menu for £19 for 2 courses; £25 for 3. I made a unilateral decision and booked it for Annie and me tonight. Fortunately my good friend didn’t take offence at my lack of consultation and said she’d been wanting to go too.

We began our day with cocktails, a three-course meal and Prosecco at Union Street Cafe My starter was Burrata, Augergine and Balsamic Vinegar and I may have licked the plate slightly For mains we both went for Homemade Egg Rigatoni with Spicy Sausage This was so **** good. We just about had room left for dessert where we both had Raspberry Sorbet and Yogurt, which again was really good! After dinner, we popped downstairs to the Union Street Bar where we shared a carafe of wine.

We arrived and were asked to sot downstairs in the bar area. We got seats and were not sure if anybody was going to take our order.. Due to no staff behind small bar or within the bar area itself! Once we arrived at our table, we reviewed the menu. Staff were fantastic, very attentive and friendly. The menu is in Italian.. So that has it's challenges straight away. I adored my starter but my Rabbit pasta dish was a let down. However, my friend loved his food. Enjoyed my evening but I have to be honest, I wouldn't rush back.

disappoint. after visiting another of its restaurants, I expected more of a gordon ramsay restaurant. the service was good, but the food was so that I started with a 5 cheese plate. so glad that I did not decide to do the 3 cheese wine flights option, because I felt torn off then. some portions were generous of the cheese, but they were different in size and I was not given enough cracker the real disappointment was the pasta court. has not tasted very nicely. that'll put me on a side of saffron. I wouldn't come back in a definitiv. also the website must be updated. the menu is old.

My second visit to this super restaurant. I had to think for a while as to why I liked it so much to return within a week and it's simple; this restaurant has got the balance just right I love the staff (at least the ones I've encountered) who all appear genuinely friendly and eager to please. They go about their business quickly and efficiently but without making you feel rushed or pressured. The salon itself has a great atmosphere, especially after one or two of their recommended aperitifs, it's bright and spacious Both of my visits were at lunchtime where there is a lunch menu as well as a limited à la carte selection.
