Had an excellent meal the pasta was cooked to perfection and plenty of vegetarian options also happy to cook gluten free food

Very good value, first waiter a little abrupt, but 2 others who also served us were lovely. Pizza very thin crust, hot and delicious. Starters nice salad and home made soup. The place was spotless.

Food did not match the ambience or service in the restaurant. My partner was served mouldy bread and his pizza far too salty and soggy to enjoy. I couldn’t eat my roast the beef was too tough to cut even with a steak knife. Extremely disappointed. Left us both feeling quite unwell.

Absolutely shocking place to eat. My meal the beef stroganoff £25 with microwaved rice was less than equivalent to a tesco value ready meal with the potion size less than a weight watchers ready frozen ready meal. My wife had the steak £35 which was smothered in gravy to hide small pieces of cat food. Anyone who gives this place more than 1 star normally eats pot noodles at home. I walked out!

Had a lovely meal even though staff were thin on the ground however on leaving a lady who we believe was the owners daughter was giving the young bar staff and waiting staff a telling off . Now we found along with the couple behind us this to be very uncomfortable and very disrespectful to the hardworking staff. It was very unprofessional from someone who actually said “ I don’t work here “ . If you’ve any issues speak to your owner father or duty manager

My friends and I had a fantastic first visit to Verdes. Despite the busy restaurant, we were warmly greeted and received plenty of attention. The food was delicious and served promptly. After our meal, we enjoyed a few drinks in the bar area without feeling rushed. We had a lovely Sunday afternoon and would highly recommend Verdes to anyone looking for a great dining spot in the area. Even though we live in Penwortham, the restaurant was only a 15-minute drive away.

Second visit while visiting family in local area. Very welcoming atmosphere, comfortable seating, nice decor. The bar and waiting staff were great restaurant was busy but they were always very attentive, cheerful and helpful. Very extensive menu with good gluten free options for one of our group. Especially recommend Pollo Al Pepe and Pesce spada alla pizzaiola (swordfish). Nice touch to be offered garlic bread as slight delay with our table being available (not a problem for us as we like a non-hurried pace) and limoncello at end much appreciated. Highly recommend. Booking advisable.

Went with some friends, looks lovely on the outside, plenty of parking, lovely interior and views over the pond but thats about it. Waitering was slow and quite frankly not a single smile between the whole of the staff. We had to ask for a replacement drink as the glass was absolutely covered in red lipstick round the rim, no apologies and charged us for the drink. Food service was slow, starters came out at different times, calamari thick, cold and rubbery, could only stomach one, garlic bread lovely, pizzas lovely but nothing special. Tiramisu very very dry and tasteless, Morrisons do better. Been to many Italian restaurants and this one fell flat, no friendly atmosphere, food average and...

Took ages to be seated, partially ignored, phone was ringing for ages, 1 staff running about like a loon; had to ask to move as the table wobbled so badly and was about to be levelled up with a serviettes. Took ages to take our order, nearly walked out then as others had arrived after us and were well on the way with orders. Phone continuously left ringing and 1 staff still doing everything at great speed; an accident waiting to happen. Food arrived, average at best. Pizza base was very doughy albeit thin. Niece didn't rate the wine choice either. Waited ages to finally pay,as yet again phone rang, and they left us whilst the diary consulted...... definitely not enough staff on, nice place b...
