"A fantastic little find. Unassuming (and even a little tacky-looking) from the outside, it takes only a few minutes from stepping through the door to feel as if one is in France. Polite, friendly French staff, excellent and interesting food (I had bonito tartare with a mango, cucumber and avocado salad as a starter, for example, although they also do a number of French classics). The wine list is also rather impressive. It's a shame for them that it's a little off the main drag, but it's only a short walk and only serves to make it feel more snug and special. Highly recommended."

"We had this for a takeaway and I will honestly say it was one of the worst experiences I have had.I had the Green Curry, which supposedly should be spicy and full of garlics and various others, however it came cold and barely mixed together properly. Flavours were overpowered and honestly, it tasted rubbish. There was nowhere that it said rice might be required, but we anticipated that and had some made for ourselves. 100% include on your menu that rice is needed and/or not provided!!! The chicken was dry and there was hardly any of it.My partner had the Paneer, which was literally a few chunks of cheese with no flavour. I’ve never seen that be done so lazily in my life.Friend had bog standard noodles which were large in portion size but pretty much just slapped together and boxed up.The whole thing was just rubbish, especially as we paid about 36£!"

"The dumplings were over cooked and not very tasty. The sauce on the salad was heavy and left an aftertaste Service was not attentive we had to work quite hard to catch the waitress attention for some sauce and then the bill. I came away disappointed which is not usual as before I have enjoyed the food and the service has been good. I have said yes to recommend below as previously it has been OK so hope this is just a bad one off"

"Having visited the Joshua Tree prior to it becoming an Indian restaurant, I had high hopes! Sadly these hopes were dashed rather quickly. Popadoms, were a tad soft, tandoori prawns mushy, Chicken 65 fried and dry, lamb chops small, however the chilli beef was the saviour of the starters! Mains were ordered, warm plates set out and there we sat. To pass the time more drinks were ordered however we had to chase as they were not forthcoming unlike the takeaway orders which were flowing out of the kitchen at regular intervals. At one point during our wait the waiter apologised for the delay in our main meals being cooked due to a problem with an oven. We accepted this explanation, however when more takeaways kept coming out of the kitchen with no sign of our mains, frustration started to mount. After 50 minutes, with warm plates cold we asked for the bill. The one waiter who was run ragged apologised profusely, a second waiter came out and informed us our dinner was ready and brought out one main course which looked like it had been sitting on the pass for the length of time we had been waiting! The run ragged waiter produced our bill, deducted our starters which was extremely kind, however the overall experience had been ruined. This visit was extremely disappointing. Had the restaurant been heaving, it wouldn’t have been so bad. Joshua Tree you might have a booming takeaway business but please remember your restaurant customers are equally as important!"

The clever addition of heaters ensured our comfort even on colder days, making it a delightful spot to enjoy a meal. As for the menu, we opted for the classic choice of burgers and chips, limiting our exploration of the extensive offerings. Nonetheless, I can confidently say that the burger I had was delicious. The patty was well-cooked and flavorful, and the toppings complemented it perfectly. It was evident that Dexter Burguer takes pride in using quality ingredients to craft their burgers. The only minor disappointment came from the chips, which were slightly oversalted for my taste. However, it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience, and it's worth noting that taste preferences can vary from person to person. What stood out beyond the food was the inviting atmosphere. Dexter Burguer strikes a balance between a laid-back pub and a comfortable restaurant. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy good company.
