"We arrived at this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was completely booked. We were happy to be seated at a bar table, although it was a bit small for us. The staff was accommodating and when a larger table became available, they kindly moved us there. The drinks and food were good, although one of us ordered a game pie that was a bit dry and lacking in meat. However, when we mentioned it to the waiter, he was apologetic and replaced the dish with another of our choice at no extra cost. The service was excellent, from the bar staff to the waiters, especially considering how busy they were. This was a big improvement from a recent experience at a local pub. We, along with some friends, will definitely be returning. As one of our group said, "It's not about what they do wrong, it's about how they rectify it." Thank you."

the food was beautiful and well presented. that is not a pub lunch place, since it is now more a restaurant and the prices reflect that. I think it would be better to have another, something cheaper, lunch menu

We popped in for a quick drink before a dinner reservation. Lovely and cosy pub, very attentive staff and fab atmosphere. Wish we could have stayed for some food as it looked lovely. Would definitely recommend!

This is our second stay, and will not be our last. Excellent location on the quay, only a five minute walk into central Lancaster. Lovely rooms, very clean, and the staff could not be more welcoming. An excellent breakfast is included in the very reasonable room rate.
