"The Hayward's Heath Waitrose Wine Bar is located inside the recently opened store.I found the staff friendly and there's a good ambience despite it being an in store venue. You can buy wine by the glass or, what's better value, is that the wine bar sells selected wines by the bottle at close to store prices and charges corkage. We had a good quality bottle of Pinot Grigio which worked out at less than £20.You can also get food and snacks which are nice quality, many being similar to those foods sold inside the store such as olives and breads. You can also get meat and vegetable platters some of which are packaged with a glass of wine. I had a vegetable platter which came with fresh bread and was delicious as well as good value. I normally stay clear of in store restaurants/bars but this one is much better than most I really liked it."

I stopped by the cafe next to the station while waiting for my train. The coffee was excellent and the bacon muffin was very tasty. The service was quick and efficient.

We regularly visit the wine bar at Waitrose for lunch,as a pleasant interlude from the shopping. The food is very good and value for money. Service always friendly and efficient in a comfortable enviroment

It has potential to be a great establishment... however the food either comes out watery or cold, not surprising when it spends half its time on the pass. The service is slow, it doesn’t look like anyone is in charge.

Popped in for a coffee when shopping complete. I was amazed that the wine bar was busy buzzing with conversation. People also appeared to be eating snacks. Made me wish I wasn't driving, or else I would have chosen a different beverage! Ver carta

For a supermarket cafe, this one is my fave. I often meet friends here as free parking and lovely atmosphere. I have been to a few Waitrose cafes and have to say that this is the best by far. Great customer service and food very much above par

Called in yesterday for a quick coffee before we went to Panto. Very nice and clean. Lovely bright coffee shop. The coffee was very nice but could have done with being a bit hotter. This seems to be a common fault these days. My biscuit and my husbands cake was tasty enough.

I have visited many Waitrose cafes and have always enjoyed their coffee. However, I was surprised when I was charged an extra 30p for cream in my Americano. Luckily I do not take sugar, but who knows if that will be the next charge. This was not the level of service I expected from Waitrose. Ver carta

My friends and I gathered at the wine bar to reunite with another friend who arrived by train. We had a wonderful lunch that began with a warm welcome. The grazing platter was delicious and the service was exceptional, a rare find these days. Well done to Waitrose for their wine bar and selecting the perfect person to provide a fantastic experience. Julia was a gem and we all thought she was amazing.

Came here at 2.45pm and was told the cafe closes at 3pm. Surely 3pm is the busiest time for this cafe with all the mums picking up their kids, seems ridiculous. Staff were OK but mentioned that we could have a coffee but things were closing so we couldn't hang around too long. It seemed to me as if the staff were peed off about something, I dont blame them, probably being asked to cover for staff shortages. Not what you would expect from John Lewis Partnership

"We go to Gravetye 3 or 4 times a year if we can and have been going for many many years over the tenures of several owners. It 's always a complete joy, and the current owner has done a fabulous job of getting the right people in, both inside and out. Tom Coward, the Head Gardener (ex. Dixter) has a vision and a long term plan that make continual visits over an extended period a joy every time we visit we are surprised by the continual changes we learn so much and the garden staff are super helpful and willing to discuss what they 're up to and why. The amazing oval massive kitchen garden that supplies the hotel is a source of wonderment and not to be missed. A visual and culinary feast. We 've never stayed there as we live reasonably close, but have eaten in both the old and new dining rooms many times. The new dining room sits harmoniously between the wings of the manor and although a very modern glass and steel construction, the inclusion of a fabulous antique (and uneven) parquet floor (ex. some french chateau) softens the feel and acoustics, making the room almost intimate. The floor to ceiling windows bring you right into the garden, even in the foulest of weather it 's a triumph of design. Then there 's the food. Apart from the presentation, which is exquisite, the flavours and textures always bring a broad grin, however grumpy I am! This is absolutely first rate British cuisine; the kitchen under Head Chef George Blogg is to be commended, as are the garden staff producing the freshest of produce. I occasionally try to photograph the plates, but invariably find I 've forgotten that rather crass move and have just launched in! Must also mention the front of house staff. Perfectly presented and mannered, they know exactly the boundary between staff and guest and make you feel completely comfortable and relaxed there is nothing stuffy or obsequious about Gravetye everything is pitched just spot on and nothing is too much trouble. We were there today for a birthday treat, but will be back again soon for a post family wedding get together. Cannot recommend too highly just an excellent few hours, whatever the weather. Walkability: Lots of paths. The lower areas are easy for those with limited mobility, however it might be tricky to get up to the kitchen garden if you 're not great on your feet. Food drinks: See my review."
