"Called in lunchtime midweek for lunch a beer. The ale we chose had passed its best gone off (that happens of course, I 've been drinking the stuff for 50 years) but on quietly mentioning it, the landlord if it was he, rather than just changing our beer, went to the tap as though he disbelieved me, poured some , tasted it said you 're right as if surprised. His barman then offered a different beer. Maybe I 'm being precious, but I don 't expect treatment like that. Then, checking the receipt at home , saw that we were charged 10% service, which whilst clearly on the receipt as optional, wasn 't mentioned to us at the till. Fish chips was ok.
