"You sit here very cozy. The wines we drank have tasted very well. Also from the price very fair. The glass Riesling costs 3,90€. You can also eat something. We didn't do that. The food at the neighboring tables looked delicious. Therefore a clear recommendation! In the village there is also a wine machine from the Arnoldi family. Here too we have beaten once."

"I read some reviews and heard from friends that this was thé place to eat in Cochem am Mosel, so we were very excited to find the restaurant near empty on our arrival as we had expected a wait.There was nobody to greet us as we walked in so after waiting politely waiting at the entrance for a bit we decided to seat ourselves awaiting the the host, waiter/waitress to come and greet us.It took another 5 minutes for the waitress to show up. As soon as she showed up she kindly requested us to move from the cozy booth-like spacious table to a smaller wooden table. Since the entire restaurant was empty, with the exception of one gentleman and it was about an hour before closing we did not see her point to keep the large table for non-guests so we kindly declined. The frauleins entire attitude changed and we could hear her screaming and yelling in the kitchen to the chef. She then proceeded to vent her grief to the other patron in German. One might imagine her surprise when I kindly informed her that I was able to understand her conversations ( I am Dutch so I understand the language ) and did not appreciate her treating us this way. Being used to American customer service I do lower my standards somewhat but to be told smack about a semi-professional in a small town restaurant in the middle of nowhere is not something I accept. We were looking forward to taste the local food but were quite frankly concerned that this would come with some non-sanitary condiments."

"When we arrived people were waiting outside so be sure to book in advance. The owner is italian and both the atmospheare with the italian music and the food were very good. The portions are huge and the house wine was divine! Book a table...on the terrace if available : The place is up a hill road! Prices are also very good, what we found a bit expensive was the water €5.50 but otherwise all good! All the covid measures were followed in this place so we felt safe as well."

"Our waitress was abrupt. I ordered a large glass of white wine and she brought me a beer glass full of wine! Obviously I could not drink that amount quickly so my husband ordered another beer to accompany me while I sipped. We were told...he could not have another beer as the cafe was closing! It wasnt even Other people were still drinking at other tables. My husband asked if he could still sit with me with a drink bought from the bar next door. The waitress said no as he had not bought it from her! I asked could I then sit next door with my husband and she said no because the glass belonged to the cafe. What a strange way to welcome elderly travellers to Cochem!"

"Wir sind bei euch gelandet, nachdem uns tripadvisor quasi hierhergelotst hat und wir wurden überhaupt nicht enttäuscht - eher das Gegenteil. Das Restaurant war voll besetzt als wir ankamen, aber wir hatten Glück und bekamen nach einer kleinen Wartezeit einen Tisch. Die Mädels im Service waren eindeutig im Stress, trotzdem waren sie sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unsere Bestellung wurde fix aufgenommen. Dass Essen und auch Getränke vielleicht eine Minute länger dauerten war für uns nur verständlich (wie gesagt das Restaurant war bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt und es kamen immer wieder neue Leute, die teilweise leider auf einen anderen Abend verwiesen werden mussten) und durch das rundum freundliche Auftreten des Personals saß man auch gerne einfach im Restaurant. Bruschetta vorweg und Pizza als Hauptgang waren einsame Spitze! Selten so leckere Pizza bekommen! Hinterher hab's noch nen Schnaps aufs Haus. Wir würden so gern wiederkommen (wenn die Anreise nicht so weit wäre)!"
