"it was my 60th birthday meal and I would have expected that a bit more exhausting the tablet decorations were economical and all the plastic there were some real two or real candles. the service was insecure staff that had to be called to the table all the time and didn't keep us much in the eye. when several in the group wanted to exchange the free wine with cranberry juice, there was a lot "must ask the manager ' that feels uncomfortable no music that is not necessary to christmas, it lacks atmosphere and warm that was ok, but it would have been nice if there were some dishes with extra green as the brussel sprouts had been assigned and not only very thick I hope it will be better if I celebrated my 60th birthday party at 8.4 in the warren house"

It was lovely and tasty. The only thing is that the tea wasn’t hot.

The dining experience was terrible, even worse than Weatherspoons. The prices are far too high for the quality of food offered!

The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food is delicious. There are no complications, and they offer gluten-free and nut-free options as well. We will definitely be returning!

This dining experience was the worst I've encountered in my 50 years of culinary adventures around the globe. The food was absolutely terrible, and the £297 price for three meals for two was outrageous. I can assure you that when I share this woeful experience with 300 of my customers, it will cost you significantly more in lost business. You should be ashamed, especially with the way the waitstaff handled the situation.

This is our 3rd time dining in their restaurant and I avail the afternoon tea sets. Wish I have big appetite so I can enjoy all the foods and drinks. Their food presentation is so nice and all delicious. The best part is, you can try all their different tea flavours. I only drank 2 kinds of tea and champagne, can't take more of it as I'm super full. My son loves the beef burger while husband loves his Chicken Tikka Massala.

afternoon tea on a friday. Food good but a little sweet heavy. We were not expected at front desk but apparently at restaurant. Service a little slow. Main irritation was some sort of photo shoot taking place around us, no consideration from management or the people doing the shoot, talking loudly, giving out instructions to wait staff for positioning, moving around with lights and equipment etc. We were treating our friends to this tea and it was a great disappointment. I though that new management could improve on the shambles of previous but obs no!

Some of the best food I've had in a long time. Really tasty and elegantly put together. I had three courses and I am hard to please when it comes to food but I finished every plate. Nice wine (I had the Chardonnay) and the dessert which was a vegan chocolate tart was outstanding. Quiet which was perfect for us as we were having a small board meeting. Light jazz music, great ambience and lighting and I really appreciated the classy Christmas lights. Thoroughly enjoyed. My only suggestion for improvement would be stop asking us if we want the bill! We'll say when we do. If you are closing and need us to leave by a certain time just say that. Thank you for a lovely evening otherwise.

We love afternoon tea and having experienced one at Warren House a few years before I had an expectation. There were relative few people enjoying afternoon tea probably because of the time of year. The sandwiches were small but still tasty, the scones cooled quickly and the clotted cream was thin and liquid like, we asked for more cream and generously given two extra scones. The selection of cakes was varied but we drank so much breakfast tea we couldn’t finish them all. It would have been lovely with a glass of bubbles but we didn’t indulge on this occasion we didn’t try the Christmas Afternoon Tea but it looked nice. The bar area was very lively indeed and well attended with lots of happy...

"Obon: a petit Japanese udon restaurant that supplies a sense of Japan that cannot be found anywhere else in the whole of the Uk. (5 stars) Location: Obon is located close to the heart of Kingston but the road it’s on is considerably quieter. You must make sure to have a basic knowledge of Kingston in order to find an area to park and to also make sure you leave yourself enough time, taking the unpredictability of the traffic into acount. Even on a week day there can be traffic jams which can put a halt to your plans and due to the small amount of customers Obon can take its important that you not only book but make sure that you arrive at the agreed booking time. With this being said the staff are all lovely so if you are running late, a quick call is all that is required to just give Obon a chance to understand your position. The food: The array of exquisitely prepared sashimi will be sure to create the sensation that you are in a top Japanese restaurant in japan and the flavour of the fish does not fail to match expectations, which will be very high after just one glance at your meal. The fish is delicately seasoned and practically melts on your tongue, this causes a lovely sensation and is genuinely the finest sushi I have tasted in the uk and even matches a lot of the top restaurants in japan. On top of just the traditional types of sushi, which to many is maki rolls Obon also offers many other delicious options such as soft shell crab and even Unagi don, which I must highly recommend due to it consistently being the highlight of my meal. For those of you that were interested in the quality of the basic Japanese dishes such as miso soup or edamame they do not fail to leave you in grand anticipation for what is to come for they are, simply speaking, incredibly good. The miso, in my opinion, is truly remarkable and creates a lasting feeling of warmth throughout your entire body, on top of that it is far superior to other miso’s that I have tasted in all other areas of the world. Overall the quality of the food is something you would expect from a world famous Michelin star restaurant and if you want Japanese food it’s the only place I can recommend. The Restaurant: The restaurant itself is small but authentic in nature and because it only has a enough tables to host around 20 people at the most, the service is exceptionally good and your food is always out quickly so you will not be left hungry for very long. The staff are kind and friendly. And it’s always an enjoyable experience being waves goodbye as you leave the restaurant. You’re also able to watch as they prepare the food, which for some could be entertaining. There are Japanese photos scattered around the room and this further creates an authentic feel. The atmosphere is not lively but it is a restaurant and not a bar so is an ideal location if you are wanting high quality food. With this being said it is still a great place to go with friends and I consistently am able to have a great time no matter the occasion. Price: Obviously, the price of the food is always an important topic to come to and despite the cost of the sushi being slightly higher than you may expect from a small restaurant in Kingston, I would have to say that for the quality of the food it is ultimately a bargain. For three people, you would be spending around £100 so it isn’t cheap but you can go for cheaper types of food such as udon, which is still amazing quality and won’t set you back as much money. Overall: Obon is still my favourite restaurant in the whole of the Uk and is perfect for a special occasion but it isn’t the sort of place you’d go for a casual night out. The food is beyond incredible and thus they can cater for both children and adults by meeting every bodies needs. For anybody that enjoys sushi, I would urge you to give it a go, you won’t regret it"
