"The food was fine and the price reasonable for the good dockside location in Landungsbrucken on a warm May night. The evening was spoilt though when the waiter said there was a service tax on top of the VAT which was already on the...bill. When questioned what it was for it eventually came out that it was a tip and that everyone paid either in Germany. When I told him we had been travelling in Germany for a week and his was the first service tax' demand he settled for a few Euros tip. Don't get trapped by the demand for extra payment on what otherwise is a nice place to spend an hour or so for lunch or dinner."

I order Bradhering and it tasted like herring from a can. Awful taste! Payed EUR for nothing i won't recommend it to anyone.

We were very hungry after a harbour tour. Ended up in Watergate. person did not eat the plate. Not recommend also a bit expensive

They try to cheat us when we came with a coupon from Groupon this is unexapteble ! The place is super expensive and the ambience is rotten !

We were visiting Hamburg for just one day and ended up going to the fishmarket. On our way back we stopped at Watergate for refreshments. The service was good and the ambiance of this place was awesome!

Recommended by a local resident, this was a great choice amidst lots of touristy joints. Excellent food and large portions. Highly recommend if you're looking to do a meal on the Landungsbrucken then do it here!

This place is a little gem food excellent. We had our evening meal last night fish very fresh large portions I had.the burger and fries excellent. Just popped back to have breakfast again lovely food. Staff very polite and friendly will Definitely come back when...in Hamburg.

A great setting for a group with easy access to train and views of the Harbour with its activity. Service was prompt and English well understood with Happy hour or when we arrived. Emphasis on seafood and food did not let us down. Suggest...if you are hungery a shared seafood platter is good value. Food prices were reasonable.

We were a group of six. We had cocktails, beer and meals here. Things were a bit pricey as could be expected from such a location. The upper deck offers a great view on both side of the harbor. We had a good time. Service...was quick. Drink mixes were nice. Food was acceptable. One less star because the chicken wings were overly sweet and spicy. Toilets were ok.
