Very disappointing a noticeable decline in the quality of food since we last came for a meal. Very average food and poor atmosphere should have been buzzing on a Sat Eve but it was dead. Service: 1 Location: 2

It has been some time since my last visit to The Watership Down Inn, but I am happy to report that everything is just as good as it was during my previous visit a couple of years ago. I recently met my family here for lunch on a hot day.

USED to be so nice, food is now very basic had an £18 salad that looked like it had been shaken in an ice cream tub. The pub used to be so well maintained, it’s becoming rather tatty. Such a shame, this used to be such a nice pub! Service: 2 Ver carta

The staff at this restaurant lack experience and tend to linger around customers who are still eating. There is a lack of plant-based vegan options, with none available for dessert and only one option for the main course, which lacked protein. Those in our party who eat meat had a better dining experience. It appears that the restaurant is relying on its reputation rather than improving the overall quality of their menu offerings.

Popped in today, with my partner, to sample the new menu and was honoured and privileged to be the first customers through the door to to sample their ned menu. I has the fish and chips and my partner had the 8oz double stack. Best food I’ve tasted for a while. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. 2nd visit for me as went with work a few months back but 1st time with my partner. We both enjoyed the new treats we ordered. Highly recommend. We a had Sunday lunch here, and were left disappointed. Firstly we were hanging around for 10 minutes before being seated despite the place being empty and staff walking past us. One roast was luke warm, another came out without veg, portion sizes in general are quite small for the price. The service charge was included which normally i wouldn 't mind, but all we recieved was basically someone taking an order and then putting the food in front of us, which is fine, but for the price of food, portion size and quality i would expect a bit more for the extra charge.
