Wellington Lounge - Carta

What a delightful visit for afternoon tea. I cannot fault the service or the food. Our waitress was very attentive.

The restaurant continues to excel with their afternoon tea service, offering a nice selection of finger sandwiches, delicious scones, and scrumptious desserts. The service is excellent.

Treated my family to an afternoon tea at the Wellington Lounge. Absolutely brilliant. Views of the Wellington Arch is a plus. The blackberry tart is delicious and you also have a wide selection of tea!! Will be back!! Ver carta

My experience at the Wellington Lounge for dinner was disappointing. The food lacked taste and seemed old, and I even felt sick the next day. When I contacted the restaurant to inform them, a customer service representative named Olga responded in a condescending manner, implying that my symptoms were not valid. This unprofessional response is surprising coming from a 5-star hotel that prides itself on superior customer service. I was thoroughly disappointed.

WOWZERS!!! We have indulged in many Afternoon Tea exoeriences over the years and consider ourselves quite expert ... however, the Wellington Lounge at the Hotel Intercontinental possibly tops the entire lot ... for ambience; environment; welcome; service 'way above and beyond; quality and presentation of food; leisurely experience; gentle background music from a superlative pianist ... it was wonderful andwe have already booked to return ... AND!!!!! as I 'm actually a coffeeholic, the HIGH COFFEE is anexperience NOT to be missed ... incredible!!!

We had high tea here because we were staying at the hotel, and we were so glad we did. The service was impeccable. We lounged for hours, enjoying our sandwiches and cakes over a long timespan. The chef invented an alternative menu for many items on the fly due to an allergy. The theme when we were there was around the Commonwealth, so they had foods inspired by many of the Commonwealth nations. There were too many different items to describe, but they were divine. I can't recommend this place enough. We loved it. Between the scones and sandwiches and desserts, there was far more than enough food. Really, I can't say enough good things. Have high tea here. We arrived at 5pm for our High Coffee experience and stayed until 7pm, spending two hours enjoying what turned out to be the best afternoon tea ever. Opting for the High Coffee option, we were treated to an abundance of coffee and chocolate delights. From the incredible Espresso Martini to the various coffee tastings, topped off with coffee and Limoncello, every sip was a delight. The savoury and sweet treats were exceptional, so much so that we couldn't resist devouring every last crumb on our table. Bit late but Really enjoyed our iftar meal here in May. It was so nice and pleasant and the staff were understanding and could not have done any more. The manger who was new really knew about good experience and service and how to deal with customers and was a pleasure to talk to and made the long iftar so much better. Confusion over our booking was quickly sorted (although still unclear why nobody from the team called to double check the booking if the online system hadn't provided enough detail) and we were warmly welcomed for our High Coffee. A clever twist on afternoon tea, the food was varied and tasty, punctuated by a variety of coffee liquid treats.
