My wife and I recently had a great comfort meal at the West Cornwall Pasty Co. during a trip to Oxford. We were wandering through the city and feeling hungry when we stumbled upon this cozy spot. The display case was filled with traditional South English hot pockets, and we decided to keep it simple with the traditional steak and potato version. Other options included lamb, swan, chicken, and various vegetarian choices. The first bite into the golden pastry revealed a delicious mixture of meat, potatoes, vegetables, and gravy. It was a satisfying and hearty meal, perfect for a quick bite to eat while exploring the city.

During a visit to the restaurant, I was able to try their breakfast option which included a bacon butty and coffee. The bacon butty was simple yet delicious, with thick slices of bacon sandwiched between a soft roll and mayo. It was a nostalgic snack for me, reminding me of my childhood favorites. The coffee, however, was served too hot and I had to wait for it to cool down before I could drink it. After some time, the taste improved and resembled more of a filter coffee rather than an espresso-based one. Located in Fulham Broadway, this restaurant caught my eye as I walked through the small area near the tube stop. I asked the man behind the counter if I could take a picture, but unfortunately, we were informed that video recording was not allowed due to CCTV surveillance and the owners' preferences. We each kept it simple and went for the traditional steak and potato version.
