Food was top notch! Beef just melted in your mouth! Sticky toffee pudding and custard for desert was very very good as well

Clean, Comfy bed after hiiking the hill's Peaks rounding it all off with a devine steak burger topped with Stilton/bacon washed down with the best Ales!definately to return!!

The bunk house is abs amazing, funky idea and a really great place to stay. The pub is great too, top food and really nice friendly staff too. Definitely be back and with friends. Ver carta

Called in on Saturday 29thApril on the off chance...6 of us soon seated... food ordered and delivered to our table within 30 minutes. The food was excellent. Definitely recommend.

Great place for a pint sat in the sun after a trip up Blencathra, there was a real fire roaring away and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be making use of the Bunk house in the future.

I had a roast beef dinner and it was absolutely wonderful—not disappointing at all! The kids had mac and cheese, which our 7-year-old and 9-year-old both loved, and they were also really fond of the curry. I highly recommend trying this place! Ver carta

Sat in the pub slowly digesting my starter of baked Camembert my main of Lamb shank mash with minted gravy! Lovely food nice staff! Accommodation is spot on too, nice modern feel to the rooms the kitchen area showers/bathroom! Would love to stay here again

This is a beautiful pub with a cozy ambiance, enhanced by the warmth of a log fire. It's a relaxing spot to unwind, and the food is delicious! They even made some sausages for our dog, Spirit, which was a lovely touch. The staff is incredibly friendly as well. It's the perfect place to visit after a day in the mountains.

"This is an excellent restaurant in the area, featuring a great selection of food and ales. I tried the Cumberland sausage meal, which was delicious, and my wife enjoyed an excellent salmon dish. However, I have to mention that the prices are quite high, especially considering that Keswick, just six miles away, offers similar meals for half the price.
