Wimpy - Carta

This place was around in my childhood and it is still there! It is so much better than other well known fast food outlets. The food is tasty, service was friendly and it was a good lunch.

We were made very welcome ,very clean,bright and airy.We had the milkshakes which were delicious and the Wimpy Grills,freshly cooked and plenty of it ,brought back happy memories,we will be returning again soon.

Staff are rude and unpleasant and look like they want to be anywhere BUT the wimpy can't blame them. Staff also unkept in filthy shirts, very offputting. Thought my burger was a child's as it is tiny. Drinks are 3/4 ice. Floor is so greasy you may as well cook the chips on it. Cutlery unpolished. Your benders are nice though. 10/10 effort

I ate here Monday around 17:30. The service was very good and the waitress was very helpful. The place looked very clean inside, and they had a Track Trace system in place. I went for a Wimpy Hamburger and it was really fine. It was cooked fresh and tasted really good. The price was £3.30 which was good value for money. Overall I had a good experience and I would definitely visit here again .

Having discovered that the Broch had a Wimpy only yesterday I decided I needed to relive 1985 and take my son to a proper old school burger restaurant. It was exactly as I thought it would be so if you go with 1980s early 90s expectations you won't be disappointed! The servers were friendly and gave good service and the food was as expected! Cheap and filling. My son loved the jelly for dessert and I loved the Lipton iced tea. Ver carta

Food freshly cooked and very tasty. Very filling, which can never be said about McDonalds. I had the ‘Bender Burger’, which was just as good as I remember from 1991. Speaking of bygone eras, this restaurant doesn’t appear to have changed much since 1991. The original table and chairs are still in place and the decor looks pretty unchanged (though very clean). Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars, is that it’s expensive, but as a treat for good burgers and a trip down memory lane, it’s great.

This Wimpy is quite small, and the decor is tired and needs an update (some of the seats were ripped). The female staff just sat around as we waited for them to welcome us with a couple of menus baring in mind we were the only customers in the place. The food was good and hot. At the end of my meal, I went into the disabled toilet and, to my horror, I couldn't get to the toilet because it was stuffed with recycling bins, boxes of cleaning products stacked high, and also a clothes rack, full of the staffs' coats. This has got to be illegal to prevent access to the disabled toilet. BTW, be vigilant when you come and go to this Wimpy, as the druggies will threaten you for money. All in all, a v...

Very quiet for diners and busy take away. Walked in and sat down at a table. Never been to Wimpys before and was surprised when someone came up and handed us menus as we assumed it would be like McDonalds. Nice surprise however though were not amused to see it was 5.30/6 for a burger and 2 extra for chips and more for a drink! I ordered the mushroom burger and my wife the bbq burger, both with chips and mine a mango smoothie and my wife a strawberry shake. both drinks were nice and brought quickly. two people came over to take the order, one training? girl was awful though unsmiling and looked bored. two minutes later the girl came over and handed us the bill.
