I had one of the best afternoon teas in London. The service was friendly, and I will definitely be returning!

Came here for a quick bite before attending a nearby Xmas Carol concert and was pleasantly surprised by the cosy, festive ambience and varied menu choices. Whilst seated on a comfy sofa, we tucked in to tasty fish and chips followed by a chocolate mousse pudding, all washed down with a fairly decent glass of house red, £30 ish for two with a gourmet card offer of 50% on food only. Not bad! Would definitely come again.

This restaurant is in a beautiful room, but they aren't always open. My colleague and i went for dinner at 6 pm and told they did not open until 7 pm (odd). We were let into the restaurant at 7 pm, and 15 minutes later we were told that they were not open that night. No reason given. If you can't trust that a restaurant will be open when they say they will be open, why go there? Skip this, you just don't know if they will be open.

First, we had to spell “Rioja” for the bartender, which was just the beginning of our troubles. When we attempted to order lunch and more wine, the food was subpar. My client's meal arrived cold, and although they promised to replace it, it was merely reheated and sent back without any improvement. Overall, it was an awful experience, and I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. It's not suitable for client lunches; instead, seek out a good pub lunch in the area. I have no intention of returning, and I will be more cautious with Hilton properties in the future. Ver carta

From the moment we walked into the restaurant, the lackluster welcome made it clear that our anticipated special night out was not going to happen. The waitress treated us as though we were a burden, and she didn't smile once during our entire visit. While not trying to be personal, another staff member was quite odd and difficult to understand. One of the main courses was really disappointing and lacked flavor, but we hesitated to address it. If we hadn't been using a nearly expired voucher, we would have left. Unfortunately, since we don't get to meet up often, we left feeling quite disheartened. It's safe to say we won't be coming back.

The recently reopened restaurant at the Hilton Euston is a charming spot that, unfortunately, lacked guests during our visit, making us initially hesitant to try it. However, we were delighted that we went ahead. Feeling the effects of jet lag, we opted to dine at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the remarkable meal we enjoyed. The buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad was excellent, and the warm smoked mackerel with potatoes as an appetizer was equally impressive. Both the fish and chips and the grilled chicken were very good, and we also enjoyed some delicious cocktails. I truly hope this lovely restaurant sees an increase in guests soon.

I took my daughter for afternoon tea at Woburn Place on a Saturday afternoon and the first surprise was that the restaurant was completely empty. Sadly it made what should be either an elegant or cosy occasion a little soulless. The afternoon tea itself was ok except that for the two of us there were three “finger” sandwiches with three different fillings (9 “fingers” in all). The fillings were fairly standard but all the bread was white and didn’t seem to be particularly good quality. The cakes were rather nice and unusual with small triangles of cheesecake.
