"Sam's review: Tl;dr: Enjoyable food, quick service, halal food justifies the price. Arrival Visited with a party of 2 at 7PM. The main restaurant was fully booked out, but we were instead seated at the adjacent restaurant Wokooshii- a sister restaurant. I appreciated the decision, meaning we were sat down promptly. Service I had no issue with service, but likewise had nothing to praise about it, besides our chairs being pulled out for us, which was a nice gesture. The food arrived reasonably quickly. Food We ordered 3 starters. The squid was well-cooked and lightly seasoned. The second was Lai Wong Bau: aglutinous rice ball with a coconut custard centre. It was well made: soft, warm and gooey. Whilst it felt more like a dessert, it was very tasty. The coconut custard wasn't too strong a taste, which for my coconut disliking palate was appreciated. Our final starter was prawn meat in fu pei wrap. It reminded me of traditional Asian hot pot dumplings. We opted to not go for mains as we were going to sample other restaurants too. Final Thoughts The fact that Yang Sing Cathay is halal was a big selling point for us. Our only complaint would be price, but considering the cost of halal ingredients this was justified. I'd recommend Yang Sing Cathay to others."

The shredded chili beef was delicious and had a delightful spicy kick at the finish.

The experience was quite disappointing. The vegan curry was served cold and undercooked.

Lovely place to eat, friendly staff and nothing is to much for them would definitely recommend eating here

It’s disappointing; the place has lost its identity! Is it a restaurant? A cocktail bar? A bistro? In the end, it’s none of those! It feels more like a sit-down Chinese takeaway. Ver carta

they eat very well, the staff is open and very sweet. the job comes fast and their personal is available to them, it helps if they don't know how to prepare the suppe. I order trust.

The staff was extremely helpful, accommodating my preference for less spicy food, while my husband enjoys it spicier. The meal was delightful, and there was plenty of it. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

I had a great dining experience here today with my son. The food and service were exceptional, and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed. The staff were delightful, and the portion sizes were generous for a great price. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to return! Ver carta

I dined here with my girlfriend on Sunday night. While the food was decent, the service felt extremely rushed. Just two minutes after we were seated, we were asked to place our order, which we requested more time to consider. When we finally did order, we received prawn crackers to start, but our main dishes arrived just five minutes later. This made us feel like the food wasn’t freshly prepared due to the speed of service. After our meal, we were quickly prompted to choose between dessert or the bill. We opted for the bill, but just two minutes after it arrived, the waiter asked if we were ready to pay, despite us not yet having placed our card down. The entire experience felt hurried, and...

Looking for a good place to have lunch on a day trip to the Trafford Centre and came upon this family run restaurant in Chinatown . Imaginative oriental décor both inside and out and a few tables out on the street . Was welcomed by a friendly Chinese lady. Despite it being half-term holidays and very busy, she showed me to a nice inside table straight away and service was fairly quick. Waiters were very attentive. Wide choice of Cantonese dishes on the menu, some good vegetarian/vegan options and a children 's menu too. Decided on the £14.99 special lunch deal: a selection of dim sum (dumplings were delicious! followed by beef and mushrooms in oyster sauce with rice. Plate and food were pipi...

"wasnt going to write a review but having booked in for my grandma's 88th birthday and to be told to go elsewhere if we wanted to be accomedated when we were sat at the table i can't not!! Such a shame as it did seem like it could be a bice little venue! Our waitress was helpfull enough, it seemed to be the management/ chef that wasnt, (which i assume was sarah) Even my grandma at 88 picked up on how we weren't really welcome there, It was an extremely awkward experience. We were recommended this place by family member whos a local who said it was nice! I've since told told family they need to try other places as if this is how they're treated then there's a whole new world out there. We arrived to being the only ones there and immediately felt an awkward presence like we shouldnt of been there! (Excluding one young girl with blond hair who was extremely apologetic to the lack of service they could offer) if it wasnt for her we would of left!! We immediately felt like we shouldn't of been there although we were booked in. We had already had a text to say that a new girl had booked us in and they couldn't accommodate us at 10.30 so to come at 11. We turned up at 11 and were given a drinks menu. We asked for a food menu and were told we don't really offer breakfast!! Were shocked as we booked in for breakfast. My mum had come from Liverpool and myself from Bury to take my grandma out for her Birthday! We asked for a few simple breakfast items eggs, bagles etc to be told to go down the road to another place if we wanted them!! I understand mistakes happen if they have booked us in too early but I'm sure they could if accomedated us for a little more. I would like to try for tapas but being so far away and the experience we've had I don't think it's worth the travel for us. Such a shame I think the chefs attitude could of been a little bit better and more accomedated."
