"Absolutely scorching today so called in about 2:30 to ask what time they were closing as we didnt want to miss them, were told about 5ish which meant to us very relaxed and flexible ,big thumbs up from us. We took the dog for a swim to cool him off and after a quick walk decided to get back to Ty Te about 4. My wife and dog sat out in garden and i went in for menus only to find lady behind counter having some problems with electrics. She said electrician was on his way but if we wanted to order then she could see what they could do (cant say fairer than that) so we chose 2 gentlemens afternoon teas . The lady came back quickly to explain that not everything was available so asked us what we liked and discussed with us what they could put together, which was all good with us. All i can say is WOW, how delicious . Sandwiches , with salad , crisps etc. , scone with jam and cream , welsh cake and a piece of cake of our choice ! With tea for two and I 'm sure it was too cheap. Must have been a stressful few hours for you and it didn 't seem to faze the ladies at all, very impressed and just to let you know you are much appreciated. "We found this absolute gem when on holiday in 2022. The food was great and staff friendly. But could it be as good a year later? Oh yes! The food is really good quality and cooked spot on. Particular mention for the horseshoe gammon, top quality meat with very little rind, served with a great chunk of pineapple and runny fried egg. Pizzas were enjoyed and extra homemade chips. As for the garlic bread with cheese WOW honestly think it's the best garlic bread I've had bar none! This was out first time taking our new puppy out, and what a great time he had! Genuine love of dogs from the staff, great atmosphere so doesn't over excite them, and his first ever doggy ice cream went down as well as my Inchs Cider! With friendly and attentive staff, what else could you ask for! We will 100% be back. We've found our happy place to holiday and the best place to eat!"

"Following a recent trip for a yummy lunch, I requested an Afternoon Tea for a hen weekend and it was sensational! The sandwiches, tarts, scones, cheesecakes and all the other extra bits were beautifully made and presented, and washed down with refreshing prosecco coctails. All 13 girls including our vegetarian bride-to-be were very impressed and had full bellies. The sun was shining so the girls even set us up outside in the pretty garden by the river. We highly recommend the Riverside Cafe and will be back on future trips. Thanks again!"

"I dined at this restaurant as part of a large group booking with over 40 people. All food was ordered and paid for in advance. The venue looked nice, but unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. The service at the bar was very slow, with only one bartender serving our group and the general public. There was no drink service at the tables, causing long waits for drinks. The starters were mediocre, with disappointing crab cakes. The main courses were bland and tasteless, with a chicken dish lacking the promised flavors of chicken Kiev. The desserts were inedible, with a poorly made cheesecake that many in our group couldn't even finish. Despite complaints about the food, there was no effort to make things right. This experience has discouraged me and 40 others from ever returning to this restaurant. It was clear that they were not equipped to handle such a large group, and it was a disappointing dining experience overall."

"The dog friendly option to sit in the garden and take in the stunning view was perfect. We were also very pleased with the quality and price of the food and drink on offer. There are great veggie and vegan friendly options on offer. The food was really tasty. Staff were friendly enough but were very slow and a bit unenthusiastic about customer service. One of our orders was missing part of the meal, we told the waiter and he went to retrieve the missing item; though there seemed little enthusiasm in doing so. The only thing that really needs sorting out is the lack of card payment. It is not right in this day and age to not accept chip and pin. I've worked for a small business and I understand the dynamics. The excuse is not good enough. I would be happy to pay a little bit extra to account for card payment facilities it's totally worth it. Other than that, it was a reallly pleasant experience and a great place to stop for lunch or afternoon tea."
