"As usual, every time we go to Naples we choose to have dinner or lunch at Zi Teresa. However, last week I was not satisfied and not because of the quality of the food, but because of the lack of information. I chose a dish of grilled prawns (18 euros) and, when ordering, I asked if I could have grilled scampi instead of prawns. I was told there would be no problems. At the time of the bill, my 4 scampi cost 51.50 euros: no one had told me that the price would not be the same as the scampi were sold by weight. Well, I was very upset. Obviously we paid the bill, with the knowledge that the next time we return to Naples, we will, despite ourselves, change the restaurant."

The food is good and fresh, the atmosphere on the terrace is pleasant and the staff are friendly. The only sore points are that the musicians are a bit intrusive, wandering around the tables and playing close to you, making you feel obliged to give money and the bathrooms are really dirty. Truly suggestive place overlooking the sea next to Castel dell'Ovo. The restaurant is very renowned for its excellent fish and I can only confirm. Very fresh and excellently cooked fish. The octopus salad is truly excellent as are the lobster tagliolini (a true delicacy). Kind and friendly staff that reflects the Neapolitan warmth. Highly recommended!!!!! Meal type: Lunch

My sister does not know she was allergic to octopus. Her body rejected the food immediately, went to the bathroom, that was dirty, and smell bad also. We left the place, then at the hotel I started feeling bad, stomach issues, all night long. Now we are weak, at bed. We think we got food poisoning. I never got sick. First restaurant in Napoli, and worst experience. Service: Dine in Ver carta

The service was excellent but after receiving a portion of practically raw fried anchovies and after a spaghetti with clams, which evoked only a distant memory of clams, all I have to do is put this restaurant aside. I would like to point out that I have been a loyal customer for years but unfortunately the mistakes made today were serious and the reaction of the kitchen even worse (they redid the plate of spaghetti with clams but without clams because I had previously eaten them unaware of the terrible taste of the spaghetti).

Delicate recipes and quality ingredients equal tasteful dishes! Zi Teresa is a posh choice for your days in Napoli next to the picturesque small port near the Forteza. Food is traditional, trattoria style with fish. However is too pricy and should be clever about your options to reach your budget. We ordered fried squid and prawns, spaghetti with promodoro salsa, capresse salad and anchovies.. all at 85€ for 4 people. Negative : the e-menu is not handy as it is within their internet page embedded and your can not navigate easily.

"Rustic and delicious food served with a smile in a buzzy local atmosphere. We discovered this spot at the back of the municipal market and we knew we were on to a winner. Despite my awful Italian, the lady of the house greeted us with a smile and told us the English were welcome. She pointed out to me that we should order from Enzo at the counter and then we sat down to one of the most memorable meals during our stay in Naples. There wasn't a menu, no waiters were fussing over us and no pretence was made. Locals came in calling hellos to their friends and to the staff behind the counter. We couldn't quite understand but they seemed to be asking for what they fancied or what was fresh. For our daughter a pasta baked in tomato sauce topped with a smoked cheese that was delicious. For us a baked fish and the braised octopus accompanied with a couple of vegetables. The food was banging and we washed it down with lashings of cold red wine from an unmarked bottle. This is a proper Italian cantina, serving fresh local produce covered in lashings of olive oil. It was a challenge even as experienced food tourists to understand what was going on but it was a brilliant experience. Thank you so much to the team here for the kind welcome and patience. A meal we remember with fondness for years to come. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly to our 5 year old daughter who loved the experience. They served her half portions and went out of their way to make her feel welcome."
