"the place is beautiful, what a splendid view, which pleasant terrace. However, I’m not ready to go back to eat there but probably for an aperitif. We were disappointed by the service and the quality (and quantity!) of our plates.1st impression: the map. This one is full of mistakes in the French translation. This is really a shame. To start, we choose an Italian white wine. This was particularly depicting to the manager who wanted to sell us wine from the bene lake. We then order a mixed salad with vegetable chips. What a disappointment. The salad was certainly good (with pieces of dried fruit) but no chips on the horizon. We call the manager and then make a remark and he answers us that the chips are the raw carrot tips that were in the salad. we make him notice politely that chips are usually fried. He gets dressed, takes him wrong and turns his heels. our table neighbours thank us for making the remark because they asked the same question. The main dishes come: a sandy net and a black angus. the sandal net is worth a dish for people on the diet: a few slices of fish placed on a little spinach and 2.5 small potatoes. no trace of the vanilla announced on the map. In short, it is very average. all served on a barely warm plate while eating on a terrace in the evening and there is a little wind. As for the ordered beef saignant, it is served "to point". again, it is disappointment. the betting coffee, good but without more, the matching apples that do not break anything (we eat much better in some metairies in the region!) and the seasonal vegetables: insipid broccoli and cauliflowers. Moreover, regardless of the missed meat cooking, I can’t swear to have had back angus so much the quality of the meat seems to me well below what it should be. We ordered a second glass of wine, it took about 20 minutes and a reminder to the waiter to be served. We still decide to take a dessert. there too, a very long wait just to have the card (when there are only 3-4 tables left to serve...). In short...We choose a cream burned with passion and a cheese tray. Nothing to say about the burnt cream, it was good. As for the cheese tray, it was the good surprise of the evening. well-stocked, a large selection of cheeses. a very good quality-quantity-price ratio. We end with a coffee and expresso, which will finally be offered by the manager for the problem of "chips". In general, we were disappointed by this restaurant. Of course, the frame is idyllic but it doesn't do everything. prices are overrated, the service is not up to the level (slow, unorganized, not counting the manager who seemed to have a little too tasted for the wines offered ...) and the food lacks a touch of originality that would make the difference. the standing to which this restaurant wishes to make reference is far from being acquired. I only talk to you about the meal, but I could have mentioned also the ubiquitous episode of the manager crossing the room at the no-stop, a roll of toilet paper in his hands, shouting “wait, here’s the paper”!bref, we took the party of laughing at this evening but we’re not ready to pay again near fr. 200.- to eat there. Our table neighbours also confirm that they will not return. It is really a shame because the addition of all these little worries deprives the city of bene of a place that could become an institution. Hopefully this changes and improves."
