"I called the restaurant late afternoon, to book a table for later that evening. Despite there being no availability at the time I requested, the manager went out of his way to shuffle a few tables around, and was able to meet my request. I...was dining with my Grandma and husband, and on our arrival it was clear that it was a busy evening for the restaurant and bar. However, this in no way held up or affected the customer service. Our orders were taken quickly, by a friendly and helpful waitress who was able to answer some questions about some specific dishes on the menu. It was a slightly longer than average wait for our food to come to our table, but it soon became clear why! The food was beautifully presented, very fresh, and hot. We ordered scampi, sirloin steak and seabass. All 3 dishes were excellent! The scampi was fresh, generously portioned and served with plentiful sides of mushy peas, tartare sauce and home cooked chips. The steak was perfectly cooked to preference, minimal fat, and tender. It was served with lovely home cooked chips, a huge seasoned flat mushroom and tasty grilled tomato. A creamy peppercorn sauce was served on the side. However, the best meal on the table was definitely the seabass! It was phenomenal! Beautifully cooked, and presented on a risotto with prawns and lemon and thyme. The flavour and texture was superb. I'm a huge fan of fish, particularly seabass, and this was the best I've ever had! Throughout our time in the restaurant, the staff were attentive, with a lovely manner about them. Huge thanks to the waiting staff (Caitlin, and a guy with facial hair and long hair tied back into a ponytail) for their excellent service! Clearly experienced, well trained, and under great management and leadership. Although I am very familiar with the bar in this establishment, this was the 1st time i had eaten in the restaurant here. It will definitely not be my last! Highly recommended!!"
