"We have had the best weekend here. I'd booked the Yurt as a wedding anniversary stay and wow was it over and above what I expected! What a beautiful place, it has such a beautiful feel to it too. Everyone was so helpful they even rang to say about a band they had booked and just to let us know, in case we wanted to change x The Morrocan band were amazing and the Lantern run themed event evenings as well and wonderful food to complement the night. Very well priced too. We will definitely be back for the December one x we can highly recommend coming here, either for a drink and a meal or definitely to have a stay x"

"this is a hidden shade for me .. I am am amazed that I never knew of it. I had ribeye tonight and I have to say what I had eaten. this food is cooked with love and passion, and the quality of eating was all in taste. what more can they want if it is all cook to excellent. now for the atmosphere, it was quiz at night and our table was in the middle and we were the only ones who did not in quiz and I loved it. we were greeted when we lived there. this is a pub that offers real locals the same hospitality as if they were a local. the natives made them local and welcome. there are not many pubs like this . the personal .. brilliant. can refer to all wavelengths and ages I appreciate. this pub is a must and shows genuine local spirit .. I had a successful free house that served excellent eating. I know a good pub when I find one. I also believe that they see their dogs as family and they are welcome what is the icing on the cake. behave as well as dogs I'll add."

"Dog friendly is a great start! Had a delicious roast in here a couple weeks ago, considering it was a Sunday we managed to get a good table and the food was great! Got a go-bag with the leftovers as I couldn't finish it. Also popped in just for a drink recently and again lovely atmosphere, friendly locals and staff. Will definitely go again soon."

"This has fast become one of my favourite places to eat in Deal. If you are willing to try something new and trust the chefs, then the food is amazing. The menu changes every couple of months, which keeps it interesting and seasonal. Great service from start to finish every time. Whether you book a table or find yourself sitting at the bar, it's a really great meal out."

"Weird situation here. Pub in front and Chinese restaurant in back. Suspect separate ownership. But they lack coordination. Chinese restaurant has no drink menu but they serve drinks from the pub. What kind of beer do you have? They have no idea. Ordered starter and entree. But entree comes first. This happens a lot at computerized chain restaurants but my order was given to the woman who seemed to be the owner here so no excuse. Would have knocked them down another star but food was somewhat tasty. Although Chicken Chop Suey was really just chicken with chinese onions and bean sprouts. But it filled me up and no major disasters."

"This was a pre order so it wasnt as though they didnt have time to get things right !! Most of the food was tepid and needed re heating the naan bread was cold the sauce in the madras was watery the garlic and chilli chicken had very little spicy heat to it this is probably the worst Indian Takeaway I have ever had !!! The food should have been piping hot .. we only live 800yds away !!"

"I have to say Deal Beach Parlour is a lovely café over looking the English Channel Just along from Deal Pier. The new upgrade is awesome and I love the fresh vibrant colours along with the new Serving area, A wonderful selection of different Ice-Cream flavours, Cakes along with hot and cold meals, one thing I did notice was that DBP is spotlessly clean and presents itself well, when I visit any café I always check out the toilets (Spotless) that speaks for itself the staff are very professional and cater for all needs. I noticed an Ice-Cream Clock on the wall which is awesome too. All in all with our experience they get 5 s, a very happy family indeed we will be going there again."

"really glad I managed to find this place, it's a total jewel. it is like to find somewhere in a completely passing city center (no straftat dover). the recipe we got was great, warm and friendly. the interieur was modern and relaxing with a beautiful selection of sitting places both inside and behind there is also a crisp outside area. the menu was on the place, I decided for the squid and chips and my colleague went for the steak. Both were amazing. the kitchen area is front and open. staff/management could not do enough to make sure we were happy. we come to dover and make this definitely a restaurant."

"Love this place, but today was awful… My husband took me my friend as a treat for my birthday. Well my birthday was ruined. Slow service from the start, then the extra roasties gravy we ordered came out way before our dinner. My friends pie was cold, The roasties were I’m sure from last week. My husbands beef…. Well…. It was like old leather. Our veg was cold. Then to top it off, while waiting at the till to pay for a very long time while 3 of the staff seemed to be doing nothing. Was then ignored someone else got seen to in front of us. This place could be amazing. Staff need training the cook needs sacking Never again will I go here"

"top weatherspoons! outside the building no inspiring but inside it makes up. absolutely great service one of the best in a long time. the employees so pleasant and organized with a streamlined service, no pause, it was a textbook that is totally impressed by a restaurant/bar that is to be observed by the higher places. it was also very quiet for the early evening meal. I wish more two would be the same."

"eat should die! I had the TT-Burger with speck and cheese - it was full of taste and I was filled afterwards. managed to press pudding and I must say that the chocolate bread and butter pudding was heavenly. the whole experience was relaxed and friendly and the kids were made to feel like mini adult thanks to the wonderful staff. highly recommended and will definitely return. thanks!"

"As a Local Guide, it’s always best to dine at or visit locations multiple times. The Eight Bells is a good example. We ate there several times and enjoyed the food and service. However, it is a popular place for families and parties. The decibel levels got to 87 in the back section. We would like to have given them a full 5 stars, but the last time we ate there, the food was awful. It was like the chef didn’t show up and they got just anyone off the street to cook. The Tuesday night steak special was tough and stringy. I was fighting with it so much, I finally gave up and ordered a hamburger. But, it came with a 2mm sear on both sides as it was overcooked too. We mentioned it to staff and they just said Sorry. On a different note …. There are Eight big fake bells as you enter the restaurant representing the nautical eight bells. Howe, there is another bell. A real bell located in the restaurant. maybe they should call it Nine Bells. Also, it is a Wetherspoon’s, which we’ve had good experiences with from Scotland to Dover."

Roasted potatoes, cauliflower cheese, carrots, cabbage swede, obviously gravy £12.95 one course, starters and dessert available too much for me! Great value for money. Hot lunch, warm spotless tea rooms. Recommend this pleasant little place. Homemade Cakes, Scones, afternoon teas, sandwiches hot lunches all on offer weekdays except Monday Tuesday at the moment. Christmas menu started already will try that as well. No photos too busy scoffing lol"

"Had dinner here while staying at the Best Western Hotel in Dover, What can I say, the place is beautifully decorated and they accommodated the 8 of us without batting a eyelid. Food the food was fresh, cooked to perfection and served in a timely manor, between the 8 of us we pretty much had everything on the menu and no one was disappointed. Price was mid to high range I would say but worth it. But here's the best part, our server, Courtney (Sorry if that's spelt wrong) She was amazing, Quick, Helpful and probably the best server I have had in a very long time, nothing was too much trouble. Whatever your paying her, it's not enough. Kudos to her."

"Had a Premier Inn all you can eat breakfast X2 in the morning, unlike other premier inns I was cooked in breakfast, so delicious just the little better. Standard Fayre, the service was 1st class, attentive without disturbing. It was the same host both morning, she even remembered our room number on the second day. The whole restaurant was clean and tidy. It must be popular with locals as we were offered the opportunity to book a table for a dinner time on arrival, but went back because we were not sure that plans, it was Monday would not be quick forward to 7:00 and we turned to the desk just to say it was an hour and half waiting for a table. It was so busy on Tuesday night. As long as you expect this level of restaurant, you will not be disappointed"

"While in the store I saw a person having trouble with the kiosks, They asked for a person to help and an employee came out to help. They were having the same problem with the kiosks and asked for higher management to try to help and I was left shocked with how they were talked too. The employee tried explaining the problem and was basically told to spit it out so they gave a very short explanation and the manager told them to reset the kiosks and the customers will have to wait for it to boot back up to order and then the manager went back into the area he was originally. Honestly I’m upset with how the employee was treated when they was only trying to help someone."

"I made a reservation online and received confirmation via email. On the day of our reservation, myself and my friends arrived at the restaurant only to be told they were fully booked. Despite showing my confirmation, the staff informed me that they had only been open for 2 weeks and were not online. After speaking with the manager, we were eventually seated at a table (despite many empty tables available). We waited an hour for our food to arrive and had to request cutlery and napkins as they were not provided. While waiting, a large table who were also waiting for their food ended up leaving. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon."

"Starter was bland and tasteless.Absolutely no flavour for smoked salmon patè at all. Toast was cremated. I 'm puzzled why the kitchen or the waitress presenting the food felt it was acceptable to serve it. Had to ask for an edible replacement when a member of staff passed by.. eventually.. as no-one asked if things were ok. It 's not like they were busy as in the hour and a half we were there no other guests were present. Main was ok. Asked for a medium glass of wine they sent and charged a large glass. When we asked for the bill we had been charged for an adult meal for what we thought would be a child 's meal. When we queried the bill we were told we should have asked for a children 's roast, although that was actually offered on the menu and the fact that one guest was an 8 year old I didn 't realise it was necessary to state the obvious, which the lady pointed out.. that apparently we should have specified. We were made to feel uncomfortable and awkward and were obviously the topic of conversation with the staff that could be overheard from the kitchen. It was handled very badly. As a result they deducted a glass of wine and waived the optional service charge which for poor service we had already declined to pay. Too little too late I 'm afraid. If the issues had been dealt with in a polite or amenable manner in the first place we would have maybe reconsidered but the attitude was far from professional and infact unnecessary. Decor was nice but that was about it! Definitely will not be returning or recommending! Prefer the smugglers personally which is practically next door!"

"After careful consideration, I have decided to write this review in English. The restaurant is clean and very dog-friendly. Its beachside location in the summer makes it a must-visit spot. The staff is friendly, although one member can come off as a bit abrasive. They tend to have loud conversations, which can be off-putting during quiet dining times. This can be avoided by sitting in the restaurant area, which is also dog-friendly. The chef is clearly talented, but everything on the menu seems to contain garlic, making it difficult for those who don't enjoy the taste or are allergic to it. Despite limited options, the fish and chips were delicious, with the pea puree being a standout. Presentation of the dishes is excellent. It's disappointing that the chef is unwilling or unable to accommodate requests for garlic-free dishes. Perhaps he should consider showcasing his skills without relying on garlic as a crutch."

"I always order from Crystal Gardens if I want a chinese and they are usually really good, but on this occassion, I was very disappointed. I ordered chips in barbeque sauce, barbequed ribs in sauce and a pancake roll. The food was cold when it arrived and, even though there was plenty of sauce, there was no way it was barbeque flavoured. It was very dark, thick and tasted more like Hoi Sin sauce. Think I will stick to more traditional dishes in future."
