"So yesterday I went for lunch at the canalside and it has seriously went downhill. I posted a wee comment on their page without going into detail all I said was I was disappointed, as I don't believe in totally slating a business on fb. However they have now deleted my post and blocked me from their page so I am taking it upon myself to leave an honest review. 21 pounds for 2 course isn't the cheapest so I expected something at least edible. I can't fault the waiting staff as they did their job and the food was served promptly as we explained we were in a bit of a rush. I ordered the tomatoe and roast pepper soup for starter and the festive burger for main. Bearing in mind this was 21 quid.... The soup was basically as though they'd opened a tin of tomatoes and heat it up. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd have put up with that as a starter if the burger that came next was actually so bad that we were sniffing it before every bite as there was strange whiff to the meat which us panicking it was off, which we really shouldn't be having to do. We ended up leaving it . The only part which was actually good was the pigs in blankets on top. The point of my post is why can't I post an honest criticism about food which I paid good money for without getting blocked. All I said on the page that they have went down hill. Any decent business would have wanted to know what the issue was in the hope to resolve it for future potential customers. Make your own mind up but I won't be back ."

"Myself and my friend went to Nandos’s Falkirk for dinner on 3/4/22 and had a very unpleasant experience right from the start. When entering the restaurant we were refused entry due to having no masks (which we understand) as we had just simply forgotten to bring them. After purchasing masks from a nearby shop and returning to the restaurant we were seated to then see that around 5 or 6 staff members who were in the kitchen we’re wearing their masks below their chin for the entirety of our visit. Additional to this, we watched multiple large groups enter the restaurant without masks and had been given seats. We are fully understanding of the mask requirements however if you’re asking one person to wear a mask then surely you must ask all customers entering the building to also do so as well as your own staff who are cooking our food. Not only are the staff handling my food, but we were asked to find masks for a 2 second journey from the door to our table where we were able to take them off anyway and received table service the entire time so what was the purpose of refusing us for the sake of having a mask on for seconds? Lastly, when ordering our food we both ordered separate however placed our orders at the same time. I received my meal whilst my friend waited an additional 15 minutes to receive her food. So what was planned to be a meal together ended up with us eating at complete separate times. I have worked in fast food restaurants who deliver table service and from experience we were always advised to prepare all the food for one table at the same time so that this would not happen. We are very disappointed with our experience today and will not be back to Falkirk Nandos."

"I had a wonderful dining experience tonight at The Stables Stenhousemuir. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was served hot, and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be returning. I am not a vegetarian, so I cannot comment on the vegetarian options, but I thoroughly enjoyed my starter of cauliflower in tempura batter. The parking was good with plenty of spaces, although it may be slightly dark if arriving later in the evening. Wheelchair accessibility seems to be good, with a ramp to enter and all areas on the bottom floor being flat. The service was for dining in."

"Picked up a couple of meals for my wife and I. Wife had chk korma , it was ok , not the best she's had but chk was soft and succulent, sauce nice and thick but could do with a wee bit more sugar. I had their south indian garlic chk. Sauce was nice and thick , a deep red colour tasty and fairly hot. But my chk was awful . All hard and dry, obvious it wasn't fresh and reheated in the microwave. Poppadoms were nice and crispy . Spiced onions were nice, a little on the sweet side for me, but still nice. Nan breads were good freshly made. Would I go back? "My husband and I joined some friends for dinner at this restaurant. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food. I ordered haggis balls as a starter, followed by fish and chips. The haggis balls appeared unimpressive on the plate, but actually tasted alright. However, they ended up being the best part of the meal, as everything went downhill from there. The fish had soggy batter, a grey color, and the chips were very dry (likely oven chips). The peas were overcooked, wet, and cold. My husband and our friend had the steak pie, which they described as just barely edible. The staff were friendly, but it is a shame that the restaurant does not have better quality ingredients. Overall, we do not plan on returning anytime soon."

"the restaurant offers qualitatiw high quality dishes of the street. I and my partner were absolutely amazed and impressed! I had the best chicken corma ever! we only stay here for a few days, but I would like to drive out some of them, just dinner. we were so satisfied with the appetizers and main thing that we could ask if the cook, thomas g, surprise us and dessert could choose for us. we were right to trust him, I never had a captivating, tastier cheesecake in my life. "Phoned in advance to ask about it being dog friendly, which I was informed it is but have to be seated outside. Not a friendly entrance, when seated we were seated in a corner so it wasn’t as windy but was freezing, there was no heaters or perspex to try and keep the wind out and heat in, my grandparent is 85 and not saying places have to offer blankets but I know of places that do when you are sitting outside. There were left over cigarette ends left in an ash try on the table, the table wasn’t cleaned either. Had to order everything from inside, they don’t bother coming out unless it’s to take your food out/in. The waitress was so unfriendly when ordering food at the desk as well as having to repeat my order 3 times, it was 2 starters and 2 mains that were straight forward. The menu was so basic and simple. The mains were basically salads bar 2 burger options. The food was bland and boring, something you could make at your own home! The haggis for starters was very greasy, the chicken burger for mains didn’t have sauce in it, the bun just fell apart. The mushroom soup wasn’t something the brag about and the tuna toasty was just average. The icing on top of the cake was that they can’t fill up the dog bowls with water, as apparently they aren’t allowed to touch them? I just used water from my car as I never got shown an outside tap, felt like you had to do everything yourself bar make the food. Food was okay priced but just simple things like vinaigrette would have been nice on the salad. Wouldn’t rush back in a hurry, nicer places to try, was organically going to go to the cafe at Canada Woods but unfortunately it was closed for today."

"Just had a meal at 'Yang Sing ' in Camelon in Falkirk. Although it was pretty quiet tonight(I suspect due due to Bad weather and flooding which even had ducks breaking out their umbrellas ' and wellies food was plentiful, hot and very tasty. On entry we received a really friendly greeting from the staff before being escorted to a table which was clean, comfortable and in a lovely warm place. Decor was done to a good standard and tables were clean and well covered, there was quite a few staff in the restaurant despite a night when fish could be swimming along the roads and down the drains due to the flooding, the staff on duty were friendly and very attentive. To start we ordered drinks which were delivered within a couple of minutes and then given ample time to help ourselves from the well-stocked buffet. Whilst we were enjoying our meal some of the staff took the time to talk to us, and all were very polite and helpful(Special Shoutout to our favourite Server Ankie(Sorry about spelling anyway she is very polite, helpful funny . Can 't compliment staff enough, they genuinely seemed interested in us and made sure we were enjoying our meal, cleared dirty plates quickly and anything we asked was done quickly efficiently and always with a smile.(i.e. Mrs R asked if cream jug could be refilled which was done in seconds . Been here before and always enjoyed it, we find there is a good variety of food including soups(with bread and real butter not any of that half-hearted spread pretending to be butter . Main meals catering to various pallets and of course a large selection of sweets(absolutely loved The Victoria Sponge tonight . Being 'Fat Gitts ' Me and 'Mr R ' junior couldn 't resist various visits to the sweet area and the only thing that stopped us trying every sweet on menu was realization of our gluttony. Will definitely be back."

"Service looses a star because the staff were clearly stressed and struggling with the amount of orders they had to deal with. Luckily they remained polite to our faces while we waited for our food, but it was still a bit distracting. They no longer offer sit in after COVID-19, and we really did want to sit in, too. There is perfect space and lovely decor inside that set a wonderful atmosphere for the food you're about to eat, so it would have been even better if we could have dined inside. I digress, however, as this was one of, if not the, best Chinese I have tried in the Falkirk area. Walked back home and food was still warm to eat. I had a Cantonese style Sweet and Sour chicken and it was beautiful. My partner and my father had the same main dish and throughout them eating it they continuously made comments on how wonderful it was. My partner even shared some pieces of his meal with me and I do have to agree, it was fantastic. It was really quite busy for a Tuesday night. I would love to see the dine in option become available at this restaurant again! Will be ordering from here again. Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs on entry to building, not accessible if you're in a wheelchair unfortunately! You'd have to call and order a delivery to experience the cuisine on offer here. "we hired the platform lounge for a surprise 60th. we have previously used the hall for a surprise 30th and thinks it’s a brilliant hall for a function. the decor is modern and clean. the buffet food tasted great and the team working on the night were so helpful and nice. they offered to set the hall up in advance if we dropped the stuff off and the price to hire the hall was reasonable. They also provide a DJ you pay so you aren’t stressing about the other details. we had a great night and i’m sure for any further functions we have in the family we will use. thanks so much from the Steins"

"Visited with friends and family for Reserved dinner and Caberet special occasion!the table was booked in the part of the Venue where the Caberet was to be held the we were told after the meal and drinks due to overbooking it was moved to the bar area not the area we booked but we could listen to it through the speakers!went and spoke to the Manager and was told that he never asked us to come in not the reply I expected.I then said that what we had been given wasn't what we had agreed on reserving the table and double checking on arrival! I said it was bordering of fraud what he had done not only to us but all the rest of the tables booked!I said I was reluctant in paying the bill due to what had happened and was quickly told he would phone the police and my party would be asked to leave.I wasnt the only person complaining their were many complaints on the night!I asked if we could speak to the owner and was told why would he want to speak to you! After a while we knew nothing was going to be done so we paid the bill on checking it was noticed that we had been overcharged for items £16 for 2 bottles of tonic water and £6 for 2 dashes of lemonade well spotted! then it was noticed another 3 tables had been overcharged by up to £40 for items they never recieved ! Eventually we got a refund ! Not what we expected from a long running establishment the Manager was very unhelpful and insulting and dishing out threats not what you expect when booking a night out for a special occasion!"

"I went to this restaurant because it had good vegan options and I was not disappointed. The restaurant was modern, clean, and stylish. The service was outstanding, friendly, and attentive without being too much. The food was delicious and it was great to be able to choose a few dishes. Scottish tapas may sound surprising, but it actually works. My partner, who is not vegan, was also very happy with his food. The mango cheesecake was one of the best vegan desserts I've ever had, like a little piece of heaven. I highly recommend this place to anyone in or visiting Falkirk. You won't be disappointed."

"everything was really good. of the kind greeting of marta, which has one of the kindest personalities I have seen in a long time and after a long busy 13 hours day was an atem of fresh air and treated with any other customer. the same friendly professionalism. She's great. I also have to cry out and bailey, also infectious happy personalities and nothing was too much annoyed. all young were for a laugh and a sweat, but you know and customer service was phenominal. Thank you, people, I hope to see them again. I have in 20 strange premiere-inns this year alone, a few of them with a bark seeder, but this is by far the best I have visited. down. eating was amazing. chicken wing with hot sauce to begin. as always. perfect and had the smashed huh. again with hotter sauce. at the end my nose drowned like a crackhead. He was moist and tender, fresh coleslaw and crisp not so sick mixed out of lid. (no straftat against lid. Love the place and the dirty loaded pommes were only cheeky, I would have had a romantic night with only them, a fenced candle and a hot bath and I would be happy. these sides and all employees are a credit to the cattle meat companies. the atmosphere was also great I could add. I can't wait to come back. please thank all those who are here tonight, including those who really deserve a pat on the back. I'll check in here next time!"

"There's a reason as to why this place closes and reopens under a new name trying to avoid negative reviews! Disgusting food soaked in grease and refried chips that they deny. Side door is always left open for all the flies to come...in and out. One of their chefs ever spot him having a fag, you'll spot how grubby the apron is. Staff struggle to understand basic English, which was flagged by environmental health on a visit, since they couldn't understand basic instructions/legislation. Rats have been spotted on numerous occasions as well, down to them dumping directly next to their door. Please remember the Lucky Ho is less than a minutes walk from here, and has far better standards."

"To be honest I was a little sceptical about coming to the restaurant as we heard so much mixed reviews with more to the don 't bother than you 'll love it . However, I 'm a great believer that until I 've been and experienced something myself then it 's up to me to make up my own mind. From walking into the restaurant the ambience and decor was 10/10. We were greated with a smile and offered a table that was suitable for our double buggy which was very thoughtful not just for us but also the surrounding guests. The drinks orders were received in prompt style as was the food even with a packed restaurant today for Father 's Day. Both starter and main course plates were hot (bugbear of mines when hot food is served on cold plates!! as was the food hot and presentation was lovely too. Clearly the management of the staff about who does what and when is working to the naked eye. I appreciate this doesn 't always go to plan behind the scenes but to us as the guest it was seamless. So thank you to the Manager and staff for making today 's Father 's Day an experience in your restaurant a reason to return and to add another recommendation for others to come try this restaurant out for themselves. In addition, for been so polite and courteous to our little boy, making him comfortable and getting him crayons to colour in his menu/activity sheet. He loved the Ice-cream Penguin who now has a name... Walter"
