"We stumbled upon Mon Fromager on a trip to Frejus. Having wandered through from the market it was the cow print table cloths that first stopped us in our tracks. We looked at the menu and my husband was overjoyed to find that it was a cheese shop serving cheese delicacies. The cheese shop has a small number of tables tightly packed together outside which were all nearly full on the Wednesday lunchtime in early June when we visited. We grabbed the remaining table outside and enjoyed a small bottle of house white to accompany our cheese dishes. Most of the other diners were enjoying red wine or rose with their lunches. The chef prepares the lunches behind the cheese counter in the shop whilst one waiter served all the tables. Not being a huge fan of strong/blue cheeses myself, I opted for the tomato and mozzarella salad. The mozzarella was so fresh and tasty! My husband however, being a big cheese fan, went for the Assiette de Fromage where you could choose 5 cheeses from the Fromagerie. He opted for the waiter's recommended selection, which he carefully explained to us in French (we caught the words "vache" and "chevre" and that was about it!). The lunches were served with lots of delicious French bread. When we came to pay, the bill is served in a wooden cheese box which was a lovely cute touch. Our lunch was delicious and Mon Fromager is such a French idea. A must if you are in Frejus. Just a shame they don't have cheese bars in the UK!"

"We have wandered past this restaurant dozens of times. I'll be honest, we have always overlooked most of the beachfront restaurants because we assumed they wouldn't necessarily be as good as some of the other restaurants in the village centre and might be overpriced, but as we are staying at the beach on our next trip and it will be one of our locals, we thought we'd give it a go. As it was the first week of June the resort was quite quiet and there were probably a dozen or so tables in all evening. We were given a warm welcome by a lovely local lady who was our main waitress for the evening and could possibly also have been the manageress (we didn't ask but will do next time). This place has a very extensive menu and it all looked quite good, but in the end we both plumped for the 'menu sardines' which was pretty good for the money paid. We started with 8 grilled sardines each, plain and simple with a little salad on the side, which were to die for. Next was a generous portion of moules-frites in a sauce of choice (roquefort, curry, mariniere etc). Perfectly nice, well cooked and followed by a couple of really nice desserts.Given the prime location of L'Iceberg (sea front with bay views) I would have expected to be charged more than we were for what was a very good meal, and we will definitely be going back there a couple of times when we're back in September."
