"both our family and our dog were made to feel really welcome. I was particularly impressed by the manage and great service we received. some of the high-brow restaurants that charge the earth could be a lection of the young man who serves us our food. service was polite and efficient and yet unobtrusive. also the bar staff was excellent. they were very friendly and accommodating for our dog and it felt like a really dog-friendly environment. eating was good and the desserts excellent. Thank you!"

"The 1st time we came here for afternoon tea it was delicious and worth every penny. When we went back for the same we had a very different experience. No fancy sandwich fillings, just bog standard egg mayo and plain ham. The scones where very good as they had been the first time around. The cakes were abysmal. 2 slices each of 2 different types of cake. First visit we got all sorts of lovely little individual cakes and brownies. I won't be coming back it was so disappointing compared to the first time we visited."
