"The 1st time we came here for afternoon tea it was delicious and worth every penny. When we went back for the same we had a very different experience. No fancy sandwich fillings, just bog standard egg mayo and plain ham. The scones where very good as they had been the first time around. The cakes were abysmal. 2 slices each of 2 different types of cake. First visit we got all sorts of lovely little individual cakes and brownies. I won't be coming back it was so disappointing compared to the first time we visited."

Absolutely delicious cakes especially the chocolate brownie which melts in your mouth. Tea is served in bone China cups which is the way tea should be had. Decor could do with a bit of uniformity. On the whole a great stop off.

We stopped here for cake and a hot drink. The weather was lovely so we sat outside. The coffee machine was not working so a small cafetiere of coffee and a pot of tea went well with the cake. A lovely place to stop, relax enjoy a lovely piece of cake
