Wonderful tradition pub selling pints at a sensible price. Lovely atmosphere and hospitality offering great food and freshly cooked vegetables. Good selection of traditional dishes and offering excellent value for money.

I visited this restaurant for Boxing Day lunch yesterday, and it was fantastic! The service was excellent, and the food was served hot and delicious. The bratkartoffeln were to die for, and the homemade puddings were beautiful. The atmosphere was very cozy and friendly as well. I would highly recommend this place!

My partner and myself went here for our anniversary dinner and had a lovely time! We both had a dinner off the specials board and it was beautifully presented and there was plenty of food served. I have food allergies and they catered to my needs and were very friendly and polite about it. We had a lovely evening and would definitely recommend going here and we will be visiting again soon! Yesterday, we visited the pub to watch the semifinal of the football World Cup between England and Croatia. The food was homemade and fantastic. I ordered the sausage pie, which was incredible. The prices were quite reasonable, and the portions were generous. The service was excellent, and the locals made us feel very welcome as we joined in the football festivities. Let's just say the score was less than ideal, but overall, it was a great experience.

We are regulars here for Sunday lunch which is lovely and such good value!!We then decided to have our wedding here last week.what can I say,they really pulled out all the stops for us,nothing was too much trouble and they made the room look amazing,I was blown away when I walked in to see it on the day! both our family and our dog were made to feel really welcome. I was particularly impressed by the manage and great service we received. some of the high-brow restaurants that charge the earth could be a lection of the young man who serves us our food. service was polite and efficient and yet unobtrusive. also the bar staff was excellent. they were very friendly and accommodating for our dog and it felt like a really dog-friendly environment. eating was good and the desserts excellent.
